Solitive is positive

Solitude is the state of being alone without being lonely. It is a positive and constructive state of engagement with oneself. Solitude is desirable, a state of being alone where you provide yourself wonderful and sufficient company.

Loneliness is being alone — and not liking it. It’s a feeling. Solitude is being alone — and content. It’s a choice.

Solitude improves psychological well-being

Solitary skills could be help you become mentally stronger. Studies have found people who set aside time to be alone tend to be happier. They report better life satisfaction and lower levels of stress. They’re also less likely to have depression.

Lord Jesus was missing for 18 years. Buddha went into seclusion for 8 years in Uruvala forest. Swami Rama Tirtha was a recluse in Brahmapuri forest for two years. Sri Aurobindo teaches that one should realise amidst activity, but he had shut himself up in a closed room for 40 years. Many had taken up seclusion during Sadhana period.

As the will-power in many persons has become very weak, as they have no religious discipline or training in schools and colleges when they were young, as they are under the sway of materialistic influences, it is necessary for them to go in seclusion for some weeks, months or years to practise rigorous Japa and undisturbed meditation.

In February 2020 Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, visited Kanha Shanti Vanam, the global headquarters of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, and unveiled the meditation center, which the organization claims is the largest in the world.

The Heartfulness Institute has its international headquarters at the pristine 1400-acre campus at Kanha Shanti Vanam, located near Chegur Village in Ranga Reddy district, 50 kilometers from Hyderabad in India. This centre is built to mark the 75th anniversary of the formation of Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) and Heartfulness Institute.

The meditation center, with its magnificent and lofty structure, grabbed the attention and imagination of everyone, with a capacity to seat 100,000 people for meditation at one time.It was dedicated by Daaji to the first guide of Heartfulness, Shri Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh (Lalaji).

In his inaugural speech, Daaji said, “The meditation center is a structure not only of physical importance, but it also inspires those who seek betterment in their lives through meditation practices. Hence, it is a magnanimous gift to humankind by the universe.”

Born in Gujarat in 1956, Daaji displayed an early interest in meditation and spirituality. He started Heartfulness Meditation at the age of nineteen, while studying to be a pharmacist.

Heartfull Meditation is the process of welcoming your Spirit into every cell of your body. This is achieved by turning the mind inward to the Heart Chakra and connecting with the Divine source within us.

Here in this place, one can reflect upon oneself and do meditation along with many others. If one doesnot want to be in solitude, this place (Kanha Shanti Vanam) is an excellent alternative for them. It gives insightful understanding about oneself while remaining in the midst of nature.
