Today’s people are confused about which car is better in terms of price, quality, engine performance, and fuel economy. Many cars have popular car categories that people around the world are talking about, for example hydrogen cars and electric cars. Both have in common that both produce zero harmful emissions when used. However, they differ in terms of fuel, speed when driven and when refuelling, efficiency. So, which of the two is better?

Before going any further, we need to know what a hydrogen car is, what is an electric car and how do they both work? So, hydrogen is a gas that is flammable at high temperatures and pressures. The way it works is that hydrogen is pumped into the car’s tank at high temperature and pressure and then compressed to produce quite a lot of material. Hydrogen is then released to form a cathode and anode and then split into protons and electrons. The protons turn into water, while the electrons become the electricity that drives the car. So the hydrogen car can be used and refilled in a few minutes at the dedicated hydrogen station.

An electric car is a car that has a simple engine with electricity as the main source which is stored in the battery before being converted into electrical energy to drive the car engine.

One similarity between hydrogen cars and electric cars is that they both produce zero harmful emissions. Because the use of hydrogen and electricity does not cause problems for the environment such as air pollution, the greenhouse effect, damage to the ozone layer, and even acid rain. But on the other hand, electric cars can be said to be not environmentally friendly because they use energy that comes from power plants or coal. But it is better than conventional cars that run on fossil fuels.

What stood out the most was the fuel. Hydrogen is known as fuel cell car fuel because it is included in the renewable energy category so its availability is unlimited. In contrast, electric cars use energy that comes from power plants or coal.

In addition, hydrogen cars and electric cars have differences in terms of speed. Stabilization in terms of basic refuelling speed in hydrogen cars is the fastest at this time, why? Basically the molecules in hydrogen are the smallest and lightest molecules while electricity is a fuel the flow that flows with the copper system and the conduction is slow conduction.

Moreover, in terms of quality efficiency when electric cars benefit the most, electricity is a compound that is produced with the dependence of kWh or Volts provided by the battery capacity the more kWh the longer the car will run, and now is where electric cars have a capacity of kWh which is more than 50 like the Tesla in the initial model has a capacity of 65-70 kWh and is based on an inexpensive price, with a capacity of 75 kWh alone it can travel around 380 kilometres.

Hydrogen is not uneconomical but only slow in delivering energy and also slow in terms of charging and when compared to electric cars, it is hydrogen cars that have many advantages regarding being environmentally friendly, because the original nature of hydrogen is only water and steam, while electricity still depends on fossils. and also natural fuels, and also hydrogen is a light compound and also high efficiency on the scale of other compounds, sometimes hydrogen will lose to electricity because of the efficiency of use which is too complicated and also complex.

Based on everything we know, these two fuels have their own significant weaknesses and advantages and also strengthen opinions from various aspects, for example, electric cars have various advantages, such as being easy and also a source of fuel that is everywhere and also not complex and electric car components which are said to be very easy to obtain, while the weakness is where the electric car fuel is very sensitive in the engine part because short circuits often occur which are caused in various ways, namely overheating or excessive use.

We return to hydrogen cars, which have many advantages, namely starting with fuel which is practically as easy as electric cars and also fuel that is cheaper than electric cars. which is where the earth is running out of fuel and also natural resources that will run out long ago, but of all the many drawbacks of hydrogen cars are compounds that cannot be produced easily and are also made in various ways that we can say require a lot of research and also knowledge in order to make the car run as it should.
