Last time, I was excited to reach my destination;
Singing and dancing with joy, I packed my suitcase without any hesitation.
Though, when the year began and I started walking;
My expectations waned with my every step,
My desires blew away in a dark smoke
& there I stood alone on my path like an extinguished candle without any hope!

I was prepared for sunshine & rainbow.
I aspired to smile and have peace.
I hoped for loving memories & interesting anecdotes tasting like delectable chocolates and sweets!
.
As my footprints marked the road,
Regrets got imprinted on my mind.
I should have brought strong boots for the rough streets;
I should have brought a raincoat & an umbrella for the storm;
But most importantly, I should have understood that
Cold weathers are necessary to realize the importance of warmth!

Now, as I stand near my suitcase to pack once again, for the New Year and a new journey ahead.
I decide to carry tenacity with my care-freeness,
I make sufficient space for patience and graciousness,
I take out anger and resentment to replace the empty space with optimism and contentment.

With this, I have finally packed my suitcase for 2022.
Hoping to enjoy all the phases of my expedition with every move.
I don’t know how my journey will turn around,
But I will never get an answer if I just keep standing on the ground!
