He left the house in his army’s greens , smiling illuminating my dark day

But came back draped in the flag

My apocalyptic fears are unspoken , my traumas are not recognized

My heart is rebeling to beat , it seems as it has something terrible to speak

In this gigantic world i am all alone , now I have no one to be relied upon

I hugged him tight and wished that my tears could bring him alive

Bruises of this pain is taking my breath off but still I am standing strong

Facing outstretched canvas of the sky worthing something I can’t deny

There are those who have the blessing of life easy gotten right to thrive

But they curse their days as if not alive

They don’t know that their freedom is asking for an atrocious price .

I hugged him tight……I hugged him tight and wished that my tears could bring him alive
