Throughout our lives, there are certain moments and experiences that shape us and leave a lasting impact. These experiences often come from unexpected sources, and one of the most unexpected yet powerful sources of inspiration can be our younger selves. My ultimate inspiration comes from my younger self – the younger Tia. Whenever I look back at my younger self, I am always filled with a sense of nostalgia. I was a happy and careless kid. I always got what I wanted as a kid. My parents never made me feel like I could not have something. So I did not have to worry about anything in life. I always thought that whatever i dreamed of whether big or small i could get that thing easily. But as I started growing up I realized that it was not true I had to work really hard to get something. Slowly I started losing my happy self. I started becoming an unsettled and worrisome kid.

As we grow older, life becomes more complex, hectic and demanding. We always want more from life. We often find ourselves caught up in the daily grind, struggling to balance work, family, and personal commitments. In these moments, we may lose sight of the passion and excitement we once had for life. However, reflecting on the dreams and ambitions of our younger selves can reignite that spark which was once within us.

I always look back at my younger self thinking this is not what she would have liked or thought. My younger self would have liked me to achieve everything I dream of without any worry or with a very little worry. She would have wanted me to live life without any worry. And now it has to become one of the most inspiring aspects of my younger self which is to live a non worrying life. As a child, I would always do all the things without any worry so why cant I now? My younger self always had an unwavering belief in itself. As a child, I had little doubt that I could achieve my dreams, no matter how big they seemed. This self-confidence allowed me to tackle challenges head-on and accept them. Today, I strive to recapture that unwavering belief I had in myself. I remind myself that I am capable of anything and with that determination and a positive mindset, there is no limit to what I can achieve.

Furthermore, my younger self was not afraid to dream big and had a remarkable ability to find joy even in the simplest and littlest of things. Everything was an adventure, and every setback was merely a stepping stone to something greater. This perspective serves as a constant reminder to appreciate and live the present moments and to find joy in the journey of life, rather than obsessing over the destination or the goal. It teaches me to let go of perfectionism and embrace the beauty in imperfection. Through the lens of my younger self, I am reminded to always seek joy, no matter how small it may seem.

Perhaps one of the most admirable qualities of my younger self was the unyielding pursuit of happiness. The simplicity of joy in my childhood is something I often long for in my teen life, where stress and responsibilities of career often overshadow the simple pleasures I used to enjoy. My younger self found joy in the little things like in the journey to school with friends, the taste of ice cream from the lid, singing songs at 6 in the evening or watching craft making cartoons and playing in the evening. In moments of self-doubt or frustration, I recall the reason my mom called me a “happy pill.”

My younger self reminds me of the time when there was no fakeness in myself or in people around me. Just saying what is on our minds with no one to judge. Nowadays everyone is trying to be like someone else rather than being who they actually are. I wish everyone would stop for a moment and embrace themselves without the fear of being judged by people around them. We should try to live our lives carefree just like our younger selves. As kids we were unapologetically ourselves, pursuing their passions and interests without concern for the opinions of others. They remind us to embrace our true selves, follow our hearts, and stay true to ourselves. More importantly, they remind us that our happiness and dreams should never be compromised with fear of being judged by others.

Looking back at my childhood, I am reminded of the boundless potential that resides within me and the importance of embracing the qualities that once defined the younger me. By channeling the spirit of my younger self, I am reminded that everything is possible, and the journey towards personal growth and fulfillment is an ongoing process that should be approached with curiosity, determination and a zest for life.

When we find ourselves feeling lost or demotivated, it is essential to turn to our younger selves for inspiration. In doing so, we can reconnect with the dreams, passions, and values that once guided us. We can remind ourselves of the strength and resilience we possess and draw upon the fearlessness and determination that guided our earlier years. Our younger selves have much to teach us – about courage, authenticity, and the sheer joy of pursuing our dreams.

So, once in a while we should stop and turn back to look at our younger self. The person we are molded into is from our past experiences and moments. Even in the hustle and bustle of life, we should look back to remember where we came from, where we belong and most importantly where our happiness resides. In case of any failure or disappointment remember, “this too shall pass.” The train of life moves pretty fast if we don’t stop to look back and look around, we might miss the beautiful scenarios which pass by. Remember to always shine and make our inspirations – our younger selves the proudest.
