Virat Kohli was born on 5th November in 1988 is an Indian Cricketer who currently captain the Indian National team. Virat Kohli is an inspiration and the role model for the youth.  Performing consistently in all three formats of the game, he has been recognized as the future star of the Indian cricket by many of the former cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram. Virat Kohli is the one who proved his worth in a very short span of time.

Virat Kohli, often regarded as one of the best batsman in the world, Virat Kohli is ranked as one of the most famous athletes by ESPN and one of the most valuable athelete brands by forbes. Virat Kohli plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and has been the team’s captain since 2013.

Life of Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli born and raised in Delhi, Kohli represented the city’s cricket team at various age-group levels before before making his first class debut in 2006. Virat Kohli captained under-19 to victory at the 2008. Under  – 19 World cup in Malaysia and a few months later, made Virat Kohli’s debut for India against Sri Lanka at the age of nineteen. Virat Kohli made his debut in 2011 and shrugged of the tag of ‘One Day International  Specialist’ by 2013 with test hundreds in Australia and SA. In 2014, Virat Kohli became the top-ranked  Twenty- 20 batsman in ythe ICC rankings, holding the position for three successive years till 2017 and is currently ranked 3rd in the world, as one of 2018.

One Day International Batsman

Since, 2017 he has been the top ranked One Day International Batsman in the world and the second ranked Test batsman in the world. Virat Kohli has been the recepient of many awards such as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World 2016.  ICC World cricketer of the year in 2017, ICC One day International player of the year in 2012 and 2017, and the BCCI’s INternational Cricketer of the year for the 2011-2012, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons.

In 2013, Virat Kohli was given the Arjuna Award in recognition of his achievements in INternational Cricket. TRhe PAdma Shri was conferrred upon him in 2017 under the sport category. Alongside his cricket career, Virat KOhli co-owns FC Goa in the ISL, the IPTL franchise UAE Royals and the PWL team BEngaluru Yodhas. VIrat KOhli also has other business ventures and over 20 brand endorsements. Apart from leaving his impact on cricket, Virat KOhli has also taken several initiatives to work to work forthe social cause.

In 2013, Vitrat Kohli started a charity foundation called “Virat Kohli Foundartion”. The organisation aims at theb helping underprivileged kids and conducts events to raise funds for the charity. In 2014, ebay and save the children India conducted a charity auction with VKF, with its proceeds benefitting the education and hgealth care of underprivileged children.

Final Thought

After, having achieved a permanent spot in all the formats, among many tough competition, there is no doubt in saying  that Virat Kohli is one of the best gems of Indian Cricket. He seems to be a self-driven individual and his countrymen wants to see more of him, more winning performances and his countrymen wants to see more of him, more winning performances and series, that would define his capabilities, talent and efforts before he retires.
