Recently, technology has developed rapidly. One of them is in the field of transportation. Transportation technology that still uses petroleum has many drawbacks and consequences that are not good for the world. Apart from that, the dwindling supply of petroleum is worrying the world community because re-production of petroleum will take a very long time. So that’s why technology developers create other alternatives to run a vehicle with innovations that are more efficient and environmentally friendly and will not worry if the resources will run out. They finally made an alternative to the vehicle’s power source by using electricity. They chose to use this alternative because of the many advantages that suit the current situation.

Electric vehicle types are continually evolving to give potential buyers a wide range of options. Currently, the names for different electric car kinds, including as BEV, HEV, PHEV, and FCEV, are becoming more and more common throughout the world. Each sort of electric automobile has a unique mechanism or operating philosophy. This page will provide a brief overview of the definition, types, uses, and operating principles of the electric automobiles currently in use in Indonesia and around the world.

A car that is totally or partially powered by a motor utilizing energy from the battery is an electric car, according to definition. Battery can be recharged. In the 1880s, the first usable electric car was built. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this vehicle was particularly well-liked. The use of electric automobiles has decreased as a result of the growth and invention of the internal combustion engine (ICE), which was followed by the mass manufacture of less expensive gasoline vehicles.

Recently, the use of electric vehicles has become more widespread because to advancements in energy storage system technology, particularly battery technology.

The development of electric-powered transportation to replace the usage of fossil fuels and cut carbon dioxide emissions is known as electro mobility, or simply “E-mobility.” This e-key mobility’s benefit is its extremely high efficiency and low carbon emissions.

They are quiet, emission-free, and enjoyable to drive. What about the price, though? Well, that depends on your perspective. An electric automobile is not for you if what you want is a high-end vehicle that can travel 300 miles on a single charge. However, an electric car is ideal for you if you want a practical vehicle that can carry you from point A to point B without breaking down or requiring frequent petrol fill-ups.

A car that operates on electricity is an electric car. It doesn’t have an internal combustion engine and doesn’t release any air-polluting pollutants. The electric automobile is particularly practical to use because it can be charged using an outlet. There are many various kinds of electric vehicles, but hybrid and all-electric vehicles are the most popular.

The most frequently discussed subject in the automobile industry is hydrogen cars. Many people find the idea of a hydrogen car to be highly intriguing because they believe it will minimize our reliance on foreign oil while also being good for the environment. Before we can completely accept this technology, there are a few issues that must be resolved.

When you think of a hydrogen car, the first image that comes to mind is a clean, emission-free car. What does this mean, even though it sounds great? It implies that you will need to purchase a fuel cell, an aftermarket device that turns hydrogen and oxygen into energy and water vapor, respectively. You must put this gadget in your automobile after purchasing it for it to function correctly. Additionally, since these two gases don’t mix well together (oxygen + water = h2o), if you want your car to only release water vapor, you should to get an aftermarket air filter for the engine.Hydrogen cars are not very efficient. In fact, they have a worse fuel efficiency than the average gas-powered vehicle. This is because hydrogen cars use a lot of energy to produce the fuel that powers them and this makes it less appealing for people who want to reduce their carbon footprint.

Last but not least, there is no infrastructure for hydrogen-powered vehicles. Therefore, if you wish to purchase one, you will need to create your own infrastructure from start, which might be quite expensive and time-consuming depending on how complicated your system is. It would be simpler for manufacturers to invest in establishing stations if there were more individuals who wanted to purchase these vehicles, but since this number is still low, most businesses aren’t yet prepared to take that risk.

Despite all of these issues, hydrogen vehicles are still a promising technology that we should welcome with open arms because they may help us protect the environment and lessen our reliance on foreign oil, which would be beneficial for all parties involved given that oil is currently running out at an alarming rate (Global Oil Depletion – Peak Oil).
