Calling all aspiring young writers! The Creative Writing Olympiad is bringing its vibrant competition to School and college level! Do you have a story that burns to be told, a poem yearning to be penned, or an essay waiting to be unleashed? This is your chance to showcase your talent and compete against fellow wordsmiths in a fun and rewarding challenge.

What is the Creative Writing Olympiad?

The Olympiad is a competition within a specific school or college designed to ignite a passion for creative writing in students. We provide a platform for young writers to develop their skills with the help of school authorities.

Any school, college or coaching institutes

What Categories are Available?

  • Poetry: Let your emotions flow in verse. We welcome all styles and themes!
  • Short Story: Craft a captivating tale within a word limit. Genre is up to you!  
  • Essay: Sharpen your argumentative skills or weave a personal narrative.

What are the Benefits for participants?

  • Develop your writing skills: Hone your grammar, vocabulary, and storytelling techniques.
  • Boost your creativity: Explore new ideas and push your boundaries.
  • Gain recognition: Showcase your work and earn awards for your talent.

How to Participate?

  • School specific flyer will be provided
  • A brief informational session will be arranged with school authorities
  • Register online or offline with the help of school authorities

Registration / date of examination:

Any date suitable for school authorities before 31st December 2024. Spot registration is allowed with late fee

Registration fee:

  • 200INR if registration is done before 15 days of examination day
  • 300INR for late registration

Benefits to Schools/college/coaching institutes

Eligibility criteria for schools/colleges/institutes

To ensure fair distribution of benefits, schools must meet the following criteria:

  • Active Participation: The school must have registered a significant number of students for the Olympiad (minimum 100)
  • School Support: The school must provide adequate resources and support to participating students.

By offering monetary or other benefits to participating schools, we can further incentivize their involvement in the Creative Writing Olympiad and create a more supportive environment for young writers. This will not only enhance the overall quality of the competition but also contribute to the development of a vibrant literary culture in our communities.

Language: 

English, Hindi

Class

There are different groups:

Primary, secondary, higher secondary, pre graduate and graduate

Judgement will be done Group Wise and separate winners will be announced for different groups

Guidelines:

The topic and guidelines for the contest will be provided after registartion. The exam duration will be 1 hour.

Prizes:

  • First 3 winners of each group will receive certificate signed by Chetan Bhagat
  • Total 100 prizes (5 Trophies, 10 Gold, 10 Silver, 10 Bronze medals and 65 other prizes in the form of books)
  • All other participants will receive participation certificate
