We have partnered with local artisans with a dual mission: to promote and sustain traditional handicrafts, and to provide gifts for the participants of our essay contest. To be clear, we have no intention of selling these products for income; this is not our objective.
We encountered a challenge delivering prizes to our international participants. Recently, we noted that 75% of participants are from outside India, and it would be disheartening not to send them their winning medals. However, as we do not charge a participation fee, we cannot afford the international shipping costs.
To solve this, we collaborated with a local startup that specializes in handicraft promotion and has the capability to handle international logistics. This partnership allows us to send the well-deserved medals along with any product an international participant chooses to purchase.
