Life and death, however much significantly distinct from one another, are inseparable; neither is complete without the other. They are like sisters, intricately linked and intertwined, each defining the other in a delicate balance. They are two sides of the same coin, eternally connected and shaping our very existence.
Life,
Such a simple word, isn’t it? Yet so meaningful, infused with purpose.
Life is nothing but an enthralling tapestry, woven from a myriad of emotions, thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Life is the emergence, not only of a physical body, but that of a mind, a sanctuary of our soul, aspirations, our very identity.
Life, the harbinger of a new journey to embark upon, new hurdles to overcome, new trails to embrace, new opportunities to seize.
From the moment we take our first breath, we begin an intricate dance with the elements of life; joy, sorrow, pain, chaos
The feeling of a warm hug, the first bite of a delicious meal, waking up to presents under the Christmas tree, making your first friend, the utter joy upon an accomplishment, falling in love, the feeling of a snowflake gently touching your palm, are all reminders of the richness of life.
Life, however remains a multifaceted journey.
As we experience our joys, existence is met with a handful of sorrows and hurdles. Scraping your knee while climbing a tree, getting a bad score on a test, the feeling of betrayal, the state of grief, of hopelessness, losing a loved one, are all reminders that life is not an unblemished voyage.
Life is a teacher, it teaches us the unpredictability of existence, and teaches us to be resilient, to stand firm and to remain unshaken, no matter what obstacles are thrown our way.
Because life is a heartbeat.
Without obstacles, hurdles, events and emotions, life would be nothing but linear, nothing but a straight line. And even in the ECG machine, a straight line marks the end of a journey, the end of the dance of life.
For life is only purposeful when it has both peaks and valleys, flowing in different directions like a brook, eventful and momentous.
Each emotion and experience taking place contributes to the tapestry of our life, creating a unique narrative that is ours alone, each moment a gentle stroke on the canvas of our soul.
And as death’s veil draws closer, life’s journey stands as a testament to our existence
And it is through this journey, that we feel what it’s truly like to be alive.
