Nidhi Tewari was born in Mehmoorganj, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi is known as the spiritual and cultural hub of India. Varanasi that happens to be PM’s Lok Sabha constituency since 2014. She had completed her primary education from Varanasi itself, then she had gone to the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and cleared Civil Service Examination with 96th rank in 2013 which gives the new wings to her dreams.

- Before clearing the UPSC exam, Nidhi Tewari was working as an Assistant Commissioner of Commission Tax in Varanasi.
- She joined IFS (Indian Foreign Service) after clearing the Civil Service Examination. She was posted in the Ministry of External Affairs and worked in Disarmament and International Security where she was involved in the diplomatic and national Security policies.
- In 2022, she joined as an Under Secretary in PMO (Prime Minister Office) and after that she was promoted to Deputy Secretary in 2023 and was perfectly grown herself in the external affairs and international relations.
