“AS A SPORTSMAN. YOU ALWAYS PLAY TO WIN. HAVING SAID THAT IT’S NOT POSSIBLE TO WIN EVERY DAY. THERE WILL BE DAYS WHEN YOU WILL DO WELL AND THERE WILL BE DAYS YOU WON’T”

In my point of view every sportsman is good in their own way but the matter is to become the best. To get the name and fame every individual sportsman needs to work hard with great effort in a team. It is not so easy to achieve success in one go but by having a great passion to achieve your goals, success is not so far.

This article indicates A Sportsman Who Created History with his great achievement is the Former Indian Cricketer known as Sachin Tendulkar. In Indian history, he is popularly known as the “Greatest Batsman.”

Sachin Tendulkar was born in Nirmal Nursing Home in Dadar, Mumbai on 24th April, 1973. He was born in a middle family. He started playing cricket at the age of eleven and swiftly became good in everybody’s eyes.

At the age of eleven, Tendulkar started playing cricket and on 15th November, 1989,  at sixteen he made his test debut against Pakistan in Karachi. Endearingly he is known as ‘Little Master’ or ‘Master Blaster’.

Tendulkar was a character of the Indian team who won the 2011 World Cup. It was his first win in six World Cup appearances for India.

The only key for Tendulkar’s success is his power of achieving his dreams, hard work, effort and determination. There was also a period where if Tendulkar did not score a century, the team would lose the match. Because of his great talent as a batsman, the bowlers seemed to be scared to bowl Sachin.

Tendulkar presents himself like a captain of the Indian National team. In international cricket, he always scores higher runs. He is a single player who scored One Hundred international centuries and the first batsman who scored a double century in One Day International. Also, he was the first sportsman who had been awarded the honorary rank of Group Caption by the Indian Air Force.

Other cricketers like Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni are considered as equal to Sachin Tendulkar. But Tendulkar is the only cricketer that no other cricketer would ever come close to the greatness of Sachin in the history. One thing said by Ramakant Achreka (Tendulkar’s coach) that Sachin has power to achieve his goals, determination and his love for cricket. He is a great gentleman of the sports and has a great fan following in millions and millions not only in India but all over the world. He is the only cricketer who is being loved by our opponent countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Sachin Tendulkar received the Arjuna award in 1994 for his achievement in cricket and in 1997, he received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award which is one of the highest Honours in the field of sport. Also, he received Padma Vibhushan award for his achievements in the field of cricket.

There were also some great knocks that at the Rawalpindi against Pakistan, Sachin scored 141 runs in 135 balls. But the disappointing edge was that Pakistan won the match with 12 runs but Tendulkar was proclaimed a man of the match for his great shift. The great point in the history of cricket was a massive 664 run partnership between Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. He scored 200 runs in just 147 balls against South Africa in Gwalior in 2010. On that day India scored high runs of 401 by losing just three wickets. The most unforgettable innings of Sachin was when he scored 134 runs  in Sharjah One Day International and without hesitation helped India alone on his own and win Sharjah Cup. This day is also very special for Sachin because it was his  birthday too.

Sachin entered cricket in 1984 with the help of Ajit. He introduced Sachin to a famous cricket coach, Ramakant Achreka. At first when Sachin played in front of his coach, he didn’t give his best. Ajit convinced Ramakant to give him a second chance. He told Ramakant that in the first chance Sachin seemed to be nervous while playing in front of him, that’s why he was not able to perform well as he was thinking that he is noticeable by the coach. He told Ramakant to hide behind the tree and watch him play. Now, in the second chance he performed much better than before and he was selected by the coach at Acharya’s industry.

Tendulkar generated history in 2005 when he scored his record-breaking 35th century in test play against Sri Lanka. In 2012 he became a member of Rajya Sabha(the upper house parliament) and was nominated to the post and in 2018 his term ended. He declared his retirement from One Day International cricket in December, 2012 and in 2013 he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Sachin will always be remembered by the world for his great talent. He is not only known for his talent but also for his kindness and humility.

In the light of this information, I would like to say that there is no sportsman in the world to compete with the level of Sachin Tendulkar. He is not only a great sportsman but the one who is also known for his humbleness and down to earth. He not only achieved his goals but also won the hearts of the whole world by his great willpower dreams. And today, he has made his name for himself in history. This is a very big message for all of us that if you have real willpower to do it, then one day it will definitely come, when you will be standing on the top of the success stairs.
