JEE refers to the Joint Entrance exam. The exam is managed by NTA. Initially, till 2018, JEE was conducted by CBSE. But after 2018, NTA is responsible for the conduction of exams. The exam is conducted in both online and offline format.
The exam consists of two papers that are: One for admission in courses like Btech/BE. And the second paper for admission in B Arch and B planning courses. A candidate can give three attempts only in consecutive years.
Students can either opt for one paper or can opt for both papers.
Exam Mode
The exam is conducted in thirteen different languages- English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odiya, Urdu, and Telugu.
- Paper 1: Physics, chemistry, and maths. This is for Bachelor’s in Technology and Engineering It is conducted in online mode only.
- Paper 2: Part one consists of Maths and Part two consists of the Aptitude Test. It is conducted in online mode. Part three consists of a drawing exam. It is done in an offline manner. This is for a bachelor’s in Architecture.
- Paper 3: maths, aptitude test, and planning question. This is for Bachelors’s in planning.

Effective Tips to Crack JEE

- Collect study material- before beginning with the preparation for any competitive exams, one should collect all sorts of study materials. Collect previous years’ questions papers, practising modules, NCERT books, etc.
- Follow a strict timetable- competitive exams always require strict sitting hours. Right from the start give equal sitting hours. Follow a strict timetable. There should be no compromise while studying and preparing for the exam.
- Avoid distractions- students should try to keep themselves away from all sorts of distractions while preparing for the exams. Try not to spend much time on social media platforms. One may indeed feel low and bored while studying but spending time on all sources of unproductive things is not an option. One can listen to music, go for a walk, spend time with family, etc.
