The term ‘WRITER’ is often used as a synonym of ‘AUTHOR’ and is also used elsewhere in the arts and music such as ‘SONGWRITER’ or a ‘SCREENWRITER’ but as an only word ‘WRITER’ refers to those who create contents. Writing is an extremely diverse occupational field with multi-faceted career paths. It is about recording thoughts on paper and sharing it with others which makes us a better communicator not just in writing but in real life too. It is not practical to earn livelihood only through writing because only a handful of writers are successful enough to earn a livelihood through writing. Writing is a medium of human communication that represents language with different signs and symbols. Writing on a regular basis helps us to create new ideas. Before beginning the writing, we should organize our thought and plot a rough draft and by this method we can ensure that the story will flow and does not remains un-organised. Writing professionals are broadly employed in different platforms such as journalism, entertainment, media production, editing and web writing like blogging as writers can produce material across a number of genres, fictional or non-fictional. Writing down the word we dreamt of on paper guides us the process of living our passion-be it writing a song, poetry or even a diary as all writers do not work as or want to be novelists, poets or authors because there is not a single route to become a writer, which is one of the major benefits of this profession. Writers produce various forms of creative writing and literary arts such as novels, poetry, short stories, articles, plays, scripts, news report and essays. Blogging involves maintaining a personal log of events by creating a page, in which a person would document their day and share it over internet. Essay is a piece of content which is written from the perception of a writer. Some writers use multiple media such as graphics or illustration to enhance the communication of their ideas. Sitting down and condensing ideas into words is an art. Giving shape to those words in a way that appeals to others also adds clarity to our own thoughts. Writing on a regular basis encourages us to search for things hidden deep into most matters and also helps us to become a better writer and a better thinker. For students it can be a great alternative medium to learn and share new concepts and ideas as it is a great learning tool for someone who is more interested in what someone else has to say. Some writers choose either an associate degree in English or a bachelor’s degree in English for a greater emphasis in writing but it is not necessary that every writer has a degree in English because an English degree is one great way to get started on a career on writing. There is an old saying for the beauty of writing, “DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER”, it is said by Edwin Rolfe in his edition of the African journal in 1944 which implies that one should not pre-judge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone. How pleasant it is walking on smooth plain!, but the peak ,my dear, is reached through stones. There is an old saying on this, “GOOD WRITERS ARE MADE, NOT BORN”, which means that we should do hard work to become a successful writer as success does not come simply from one or the other as gifted writers also had to work hard at their craft, and good writers have to work hard to make the best use of their talents. We all have grown up reading books and novels of various genres and we all love them for different reasons whether it is for liking their way of writing or the characters they make. A successful writer is not necessarily one who writes more but one who persists and reflects on the work done as a means of improvement. While writing, many people face writer’s block and have a hard time to think about topics and ideas and then they try to get unstuck from this situation by relaxing and thinking with cool mind. It is a social activity enhanced by reading, research, remixing, peer review and collaboration. While writing, if the idea of an individual author is problematic, instructors interact with students who experience the world as a individual and give them tools and experiences that help build their confidence and also help them to re-conceptualize.
