Having the opportunity to travel, recharge the batteries, and relax while having fun is appealing to everyone occasionally. It is important to make the most of some free time so that heading into work time and again provides rewards, which encourages more of the same. Some even get the opportunity to travel through business, which offers the chance to have fun around work.

Thailand continues to be extremely popular each year because of its many beaches and islands with tourists, which allow visitors to embrace its fascinating culture while being given a hospitable welcome.  Its capital Bangkok is one of the most exciting cities in the world, but also a major business hub, where guests may stay at a hotel near BITEC for convenience. Here are 5 mistakes made by those looking to book a hotel room somewhere they haven’t visited.

  1. While it doesn’t take too much research, it is amazing how many guests stay in a hotel in a poor location. For instance, if the stay is for business, the hotel should be easily accessible from an airport or railway station, and then easy to get to meetings or trade shows, and not stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The right location saves time and lots of inconvenience.
  2. What is inside the rooms is also important while considering the requirements of the guest. Things that are regularly overlooked but can be checked through online reviews are if the bathroom is of good quality, and does the room comes with free Wi-Fi, hot drink-making facilities, and has a TV to provide entertainment when relaxing. A hotel API might be used by the choice of accommodation that is selected.
  3. It is very easy to use one of the many apps or agencies to book a room, which might look perfect, without checking the terms and conditions. Some people who travel may have to make last-minute alterations to their itinerary but make a reservation at a hotel which isn’t flexible and charges extra for changes. Sometimes an early check-in might be required, which is often overlooked, leaving someone arriving sitting in the lobby for a long time.
  4. It is not unusual for someone to book a room at a hotel that is not only in the wrong location but also has meagre amenities. Ensuring that it has a restaurant, and bar is important to those travelling in a professional capacity to be able to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, while those with meeting facilities might also be useful, maybe to consider setting up a business in Thailand.
  5. Surprisingly, many guests end up paying far more for their room than the person next door. This is through not checking out the available deals and promotions. Again, plenty of research is the simple answer which will then offer alternatives that could prove to be better value.

With many hotels available, it is highly advisable to do plenty of research before making a reservation to avoid the common errors made by many travellers.
