The Notorious Troublemaker

One breezy afternoon everything was going well in the biggest, most exotic jungle until….one of the jungle creatures yelled,

“HARE! You silly little troublemaker!”

Now somewhere in this jungle, way past the red fiery trees and way past the apple trees, was the little Hare hiding behind a specific black grey stone laughing his head off, probably plotting another one of his terrible pranks. There was never a dull or a peaceful day as the jungle was constantly getting annoyed with all those horrid pranks and angry noises.

After a couple of minutes the Hare got up and strolled to his little hut, whistling his favorite song.

Well you might be wondering who this famous hare is?

A big yet small bunny, who was always plotting evil pranks. Some say he does it so that he will never be alone and that all the attention will be on him. Nevertheless, this naughty Hare was on everyone’s nerves.

Back to the story.

When the naughty Hare reached the top of his hut he curled up into a soft little white ball of fur and dozed off to a long nap. The next day all the jungle creatures approached him when he was busy enjoying a nice carrot salad for breakfast.

“Oh, what a lovely surprise. I’m getting some company for breakfast!”, said the Hare while munching his crunchy carrot salad.

“Listen up Hare, we are sick and tired of the way you have been treating us! It is time we take some action. If you are going to continue to pull pranks on us like this, you will no longer have any friends left and, if you decide to do nothing about this warning then perhaps we should involve the tiger. The choice is yours.” Warned the creatures with a serious frown.

The tiger was the strongest and someone to be feared from. The Hare thought for a moment, he couldn’t just give up like this, it would definitely mean that the other jungle creatures had control over him, so he said,

“Go ahead and involve the tiger, what’s he going to do? Hmm?”

One of the jungle creatures said

“Fine, the decision is yours.”

With all that drama, the jungle creatures walked away glaring at the Hare.

The Hare didn’t care about anything and resumed his meal.

Later that morning the jungle creatures decided to pay the tiger a little visit. After ages of walking, they found the tiger in his usual spot.

“Hello tiger, we wanted to teach the little Hare a lesson. We are sick and tired of all his pranks! Earlier this morning we asked the hare to stop or we would involve you, but he didn’t even bulge. Can you please help us teach him a lesson?” One of the jungle creatures asked

Then all the creatures took turns telling the tiger what he was doing and how it affects them.

 “Hmm!!” thought the tiger

“I will help you by eating him, because if that hare is really crossing the line and doing all the things you said he is, then deserves this, is that all right?” The tiger asked curiously.

The jungle creatures made a face.

“Tiger……….. If you eat the Hare, it will cause a feud among the others. What about our peace pact? We can think of something else like maybe teaching him a lesson.” said the wise creature.

” Yes…. Yes!” agreed the others.

“I know! The hare can’t stand being alone, right? So how about we do something that will bore him out?” Said one of the creatures.

“I’m not so sure that the hare will learn his lesson from this, will he?” The tiger asked, having second thoughts.

“ Perhaps something that the hare can’t resist, like a feast!” smiled one of the monkeys.

“Ooh, even I can’t resist a feast, in fact how about the whole jungle is invited but him, that will teach him to not mess with you all.” Exclaimed the Tiger

“Great! Meet us for dinner tomorrow night at the park, and don’t forget to bring something to add to the feast!” Yelled the orangutan from the distance

The next day everyone set out to get supplies for the feast. The whole day they were scurrying along trying to look for the ingredients and were busy wondering what they should prepare. Meanwhile, the hare was suspecting something.

“Where are all the jungle creatures? Why is it so quiet?” Wondered the Hare

The hare, however, did think something was going on, as he saw multiple creatures going in and out carrying lots of heavy tables and lots of ingredients.

Soon the time came. Everyone packed their delicious food into plates and bowls, cutlery and picnic bags. Some of the creatures had been there earlier to set up, and it looked amazing! There were 350 huge tables all lined up together. There was a long orange silk that was set up in the middle going through all the 350 tables. The chairs were set up on opposite sides. All the animals started arriving and started setting up their dishes.

While guests were still arriving, some started in friendly banter. Finally when everyone had arrived, the feast began. Everyone’s eyes were gleaming, they’re mouths were watering. They each grabbed a plate, a fork and spoon and took handfuls of dishes. Banana pie, Cheetos, tiger bites of meat, peanut cookies, worm cake and so much more delicious food.

Eventually, the Hare found out what was happening. He was mad. So he decided to pay their little party a visit. At the party they kept a bodyguard outside which was the tiger, on guard specifically for the Hare.

The Hare walked all the way to where the noise was coming from. When he got there he was surprised to see that all his friends were enjoying themselves and that he was not a part of their fun. He went to the entrance and saw the tiger giving him an evil look with disgusted eyes.

“Hello tiger. I hope you don’t mind me entering to enjoy it with my friends and take part in the delicious feast.” The hare said in a sarcastic way.

But just as the Hare was about to cross the red line marking, the tiger put his hand out and said,

“Actually……I do mind. Sorry but you cannot enter.” said the tiger sternly

“But, why?” The Hare asked

“If you must know, you have been very rude and selfish by plotting those evil pranks. So because of that you are not allowed to enter. You made lots of the creatures here get on their nerves. They even warned you to stop or they won’t be your friends any more, but you ignored it.” The tiger said

“Tiger, you are exaggerating. Just let me go in for a couple minutes.” The hare said

“Hare, you cannot enter!” The tiger yelled

The Hare rolled his eyes but did not say anything back. He knew that the Tiger was on his last nerve.

“No one understands why I do these pranks! It’s so frustrating! I wish they just knew!!” The hare thought to himself.

Tears started welling up in his eyes. At that point the tiger realized that he was going to take a step back. When the Hare started, he couldn’t stop. Puddles and puddles were falling like a waterfall. At that point all the creatures turned to look. They’re intention was to make him realize, not for him to cry. They all started whispering among themselves when one of the creatures said,

“I think the Hare has something to tell us.”

At that moment, The Tiger went to the hare and gave him a hand up and smiled. The Hare smiled and the tiger let him through.

The hare took a deep breath, entered and said

“I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused. But I only did that so that i would not be alone, ever. But I can see now that I misunderstood. And for that reason, I am sorry, will you please forgive me?”

The creatures all looked at one another and said, “

Yes.”

Then all the creatures, and the Hare enjoyed the rest of their evening. They were friends again.
