Moreover, the domain of politics, especially in the context of the present era, has turned out to be a part and parcel of human being’s life. Thus, politics has engulfed human being’s thought process with the passage of time. In this regard, it can rightly be stated that, there is no stage of life which is not being influenced by politics and political activities. As a result, we the human being cannot shed off politics from influencing our body, mind and spirit.
Like other various arenas of life politics too has its own driving forces. Among these driving forces, the inclination towards a political ideology is an indispensable part of every political activity. Thus, it has been observed that, politics and political activities have been compartmentalized by a set or conglomeration of political ideology or ideologies.
In the long run, it has been observed that, in this modern world of ours, the politics of each and every nation is spearheaded by various political parties. Further, the driving force for these political parties have been its own set of political ideologies. Subsequently, political party/parties visa-vis its own set of ideologies has become a part and parcel of politics and its various political activities.
These developments in the domain of politics have its own pros and cons. Therefore, it is worthwhile at this juncture to ponder and analyze as to what are the benefits and drawbacks of the emergence of various political ideologies in this modern world of ours. Here, are a short perusal and introspection of the benefits and drawbacks of supporting a political ideology in the prevalent world order of ours—
Benefits of supporting a political ideology
It can be rightly stated in the prevalent political context of the world being that, “politics without ethics is a disaster “. Here, at the same time, we must introspect as to what are the driving forces or the guiding mantras for politics to be guided by ethics. The answer seems to lie in leaning towards a political ideology circumscribed by a political party or, by a bunch of political parties. Therefore, a particular political ideology has its own role to play in leading the political sphere of any particular country towards a path which leads to a political upheaval in that particular country with the passage of time.
As it has been rightly stated above that,” politics without ethics is a disaster”. In this regard, it can be stated that, for politics to be guided by ethics, the citizens of this world must have a binding force. This role of binding force in politics can certainly be aided and guided by political ideology or a bunch of political ideologies as prevalent among the political party or parties of that particular country. In this way, political ideology in its various avatars has its own role to play in obliging the nationals of a particular country to incline towards the various political parties in its own way.
At the same time, without political ideology politics would lose its color. Political ideology of a political party has certainly has its own role to play in fueling the citizens of a particular nation towards political homogenization. This can be proved by the fact that, political ideology of a particular political party helps in giving the citizens of that particular country a new horizon to their thought process by enriching their body, mind and spirit. Since time immemorial, in the arena of politics it has been observed that, value-based politics has certainly turned out to be the solution to the various anarchies and chaos as prevalent in the political process. This fact can further be strengthened by the fact that, if our goal is to promote value-based politics then, the way ahead is to inculcate and imbibe the various political ideologies in its true letter and spirit.
If, politics is ethics oriented based on positive values and norms that, a particular country seeks to promote then, the guiding mantra in this regard is the various nitty-grittiest of the political ideology or ideologies of the political party or parties which that particular country’s political system upholds.
In this way, political ideology of a political party or the ideologies of a bunch of political parties that thrives in a particular country has its own role to make the political system of that country to foster and promote a multi-dimensional revolution in this regard. This revolution aided and guided by the political ideology in a particular part of the world will certainly spread to the other parts of the world in this globalized world of ours.
This phenomenon will promote a rainbow of multi-colored positive developments in this world. These positive developments on the part of the world-being will certainly create a new sense of upheave ling. These upheavals on the part of the world being will have its own under currents in their thought process thereby, showing its positive implications on the various other domains of their lives. This will aid and abate the political ideologies which the world being cherish to promote thereby making the world a better place to live in.
The drawbacks of political ideology
If, politics is the driving force for the world being then, the political ideology of the various political parties can certainly make or unmake the fabrics of politics affirmative or in a negative sense diabolic for the world being. With the passage of time, it has been found that, there has been a trend of imbibing or imitating both the positive as well as the negative aspects of the political ideologies of the political parties among the masses of this world. However, it is mostly observed that, as a citizen of this modern world we blindly imitate as well as preach each and every aspect of the political ideologies of a political party or, of the various political parties.
This makes our pathway to value-based politics diabolic or anarchies. The way out of this imbroglio is to introspect and analyze each and every aspect of the political ideology of a particular political party or, a bunch of political parties and later on accepting the positive aspects of its ideology or ideologies and thereby refusing to accept the negative aspects.
At the same time, sometimes we the political enthusiasts of various political ideologies seem to break the barriers of probity and serenity which the modern-day political activities demand. Thus, we sometimes turn into violence while promoting our own political ideologies. This promotes a sense of selfishness and narrow mindedness in the political scenario of ours.
The way ahead in this regard seems in having a potent and a ‘live and let live’ type of outlook towards our fellow political enthusiasts preaching different political ideologies as that of ours. Therefore, violence and anarchy in promoting a political ideology is a deterrent in promoting and preaching a serene and peaceful political world order. Hence, we the world being must refrain ourselves from such destructive tendencies.
Yes, it is true that a political party and its ideologies are promoted by politicians. In this process, the driving force for these politicians are the various positive and negative aspects of their political ideologies. Hence, to make politics and the political process value-laden, the politicians must respect their political party’s respective political ideologies.
However, in the present prevailing scenario of politics, it is observed that, politicians mostly hoodwink or side-track their party ideologies for their selfish personal gains. These developments in the domain of politics is detrimental in the very development of a proper political order on the part of the world being. Thus, politicians must make it their motto to preach and promote a true and proper political culture in this world and, thereby enriching itself the sphere of politics in the long run.
At the same time, it has been observed that, politicians today are mostly guided by the motto of ‘make hey while the sun shines.’ In other words, politicians mostly for their personal gains, preach and promote their respective political ideologies with a selfish motive.
Thus, politics in this global village of ours has become a process where, we harm or hurt our fellow political activists in order to gain selfish interest. In this way, politics and political ideology have taken a back seat and the selfish motives of these politicians are mostly being promoted in the political sphere of ours.
At this juncture, we must remember that, political ideologies of various political parties must answer as well as find solutions to the various global lacunas of the world being. Here, in this regard, it is pertinent to introspect and analyze, as to how much we have been successful in this endeavor. The answer to this question is a big hoax to the prevailing political order of the world being irrespective of geographical boundaries.
Hence, it is high time, we embark upon a journey in the political sphere where we promote such a political environment in which instead of, promoting hatred and anarchy via the process of promoting political ideology we, promote such a political ideology which in itself promote a world order where we preach love and peace instead of anarchy and violence.
In this new world order of ours, there will be no place for deprivation and self-aggrandizement. Rather, there will be a new order where, the world being will respect as well as promote the various prevailing political ideologies. In this process, the gaps between the haves and the have-nots among the world being will shrink. This, with the passage of time will make the world more beautiful not only naturally but also, via speech, deeds and action.
All these positive developments on the part of the world being will ultimately promote a world order where love and respect for each other among the world being will prevail over hatred and anarchy. Ultimately, the world being will reach a stage of life where happiness, happiness and happiness will prevail all around.
