Part I

“The Beginning Of An Unexpected situation” I was 18yrs old at that time. Yes you heard correctly only 18yrs old. It was an early morning 8a.m. class, full of enthusiasm, and gusto I went to my coaching classes ,the batch of 8 to 10a.m. I was wearing dark pink coloured shirt and denim with sport shoes. I remember, the date was 29th October 2015 and the chapter was “Algebraic Identities”, “Ok Dear”, our sir said and proceeded further, suddenly the nerves in my brain got a curious feeling contracting horrifically.

I consoled myself, saying “No all’s good “but suddenly my whole head got shaken as the class ended, but I didn’t had any idea that it was a “beginning of an unexpected situation”. So now we will meet in the session”, that’s all for today”. Our sir said and ended that day’s class. In class of around 150 students when the class ended I stood up and strengthening myself went out of the class. I took a deep breath, took the assignment from the staff member and the day ended with a sigh of relief. Next day, i.e. on 30th October, Friday I skipped my classes as I felt a bit dizzy. “Beta have a bath of warm water you’ll feel better” my mom said.

Okay, I said, after taking the bath sat on the chair taking sunbath reading my notes as my exams were near. “Raju, what are you reading, my didi asked to me. I am reading Satya Notes didi” I replied to her. Oh! we also used to read these notes during my college days”. Reading the book I couldn’t concentrate properly, and how are you beta, said my mom to didi, even my elder maternal aunt joined the conversation. They started their talk on one side and I was not feeling well on the other side. There was something unwell inside my body. Sometimes my hands and legs going numb for a minute and I felt alright the other minute. I couldn’t correlate the situation with what was going on inside my body.

“Come inside the house and have lunch beta”, my mom said. I ate the lunch and letting off all the worries continued with my daily routine and that day ended with another mystery giving a clue for a terrible cyclone, which was about to enter my life.

Part-II

A Painful Misery The day went off suddenly as snapping of the fingers hoping for a fresh morning to start, I woke up checked out my text messages and prepared for the arrival of our Grand annual Day which was to be held on the same day i.e.15 Oct,2015. I was excited for the re-union of our friends. I messaged my friend Ayush asking him “Are you coming in the Annual day”? to which he replied, “I don’t have a pass!”

I however consoled and agreed him to come to the event. Even I talked to his mother regarding to attend the event. They said “Ok,we will manage. My mother prepared the lunch and ironed her clothes. Meanwhile, my elder and younger sister were having lunch, gossiping. But I was sitting on the sofa with one hand on the sofa and the other on the head.I still didn’t had any idea about what was happening. I felt weaker like a restless creature. Again the nerves in my head made a horiffic contraction which made me unconscious for a moment.

My sister offered me the food, to which when I ate a few bite felt bitter to me. We got ready for the event. My mother saw my face and touched my forehead ,to which she felt I had fever. She refused to go for the event. To which after my requests to her she agreed to go but at one condition that I had to go to the doctor before the event. I agreed, but unluckily the clinic was close. We departure for the event, to which I managed to driver however on the way one flying insect went inside my ear, to which I felt distracted. I didn’t knew but actually it was a god’s sign for me to stop me to go to that event. But who knows what has to occur can nobody stop it from happening. Finally after reaching the event location, I texted my friend Ayush, to which he replied that he had also reached the location. He saw me and waives his hand. We met and entered the venue and got seated in the ex-students seating area.

We all friends met each other after a long time, were happy to see each other. Time like sand in our hands passed by quickly. I was feeling weaker than before. My mother was watching my condition and told me to leave the venue as I was not feeling well. As it got darker due to cold weather, I started shivering with cold. My mother was feeling worried. Finally, as the event got over, we wanted to go out but my sister got lost in the crowd. However, we managed to get her. As we moved outside the venue, there was a huge crowd making it difficult for us to manage to get our vehicle quickly to reach our home. I however managed although I was feeling pathetic, On the way my mother told me to stop at the clinic that comes on the way. After consulting the doctor, we got to know that I had 102◦ C fever.

We bought the medicines and rushed to our home. After we reached our home, I straight away went to my bed and lied on it. Due to high fever afterever I was not able to connect with my body and almost felt like close to dead. My mother got emotional and got some food for me. I howsoever sat and had a bite of food followed by medicines and slept. Next day, my maternal uncle along with his friend took me to the nearest clinic as my fever was getting over and coming again. After having medicines also my health was getting recovered and was getting down with time. Next day, my mother took me to a doctor’s clinic near cannought place.

I still remember how I lied my head in my mother’s lap almost exhausted. We reached the clinic, the doctor consulted me and wrote some blood tests. Meanwhile, my mother was not carrying cash so we had to go to the ATM.I remember how while taking out cash from the ATM, I felt unconscious and my mother hold me. Next day, my mother went alone to the lab to get the report, to which she discovered that I had the dengue fever. After having a talk with the Dr. The Dr. said, “There is no medicine for this disease”, we need to check the blood samples after every 2-3 days and send it to the lab for checking the platelets count. Else we cannot do anything. Upon checking my platelets count they were on a decreasing rate.My family was not able to point the plan of action for this disease. They all they could do was something good to happen.

Part-III

Arrival of a Divine Messenger Hoping for my recovery and a good time my mother in a hurry informed my father about the situation. My father was posted in Delhi in DSC. He immediately took a leave and reached home the next day. Now, “what will happen? my mother said to my father”. My uncle then informed us about a person who worked in a pharmacy department, who actually came in my life as “god’s messenger”. Pankaj Bhaiya, my mother used to call him that. I remember everyday in the morning he used to come around 7-7:15am.He used to put his hand in my forehand to check my fever and took blood sample after every 2-3 days. He used to console me and say “Everything will get fine”. I also remember he used to call me by wrong name Hardik, I don’t know why? He told us all the possible diet that I could take at that condition. From eating moong dal ,papaya’s leaves juice, goat’s milk to giloy juice, I took all these eatables I wish to had never. He even consoled my family that I will definitely recover from the dengue fever. Although, If I don’t get well they will get me admitted to the hospital. II remember how I use to say my mom that When I will get well?

But his natural home treatment worked and as the days passed by I recovered from the disease. Within a week my platelets count showed a sort of improvement. As my health improved I started normal diet like chapatti and dal. I started watching television and surf social sites. Really We were very thankful to him for his keen guidance and support at every point of time without which we were almost helpless. He really like a god’s messenger entered my life and saved my life from coming to an end.

Part-IV

Recovery Phase Slowly and gradually my health was getting recovered. My parents were happy to see my health. Now I started having normal diet including fruits and healthy food. Although, I had to take the bitter papaya’s juice. After consulting the doctor he prescribed me multivitamins and minerals to boost my energy level. My platelets level had now come up to the required level. I was also advised to eat kiwi fruit that boosts platelets level. I remember how during my recovery period people came to meet me, how my father used to cut my nails, took me to the barber’s shop to have a haircut, used to cut fruits for me, used to measure my fever everyday.

That really made me feel emotional. During recovery phase I really felt the value of life, what it is all about, the ups and downs in it, the concern of your family for you. I also realized that what all the situation is, if you have your family as your backbone no disease can put you down i.e. you can win any race in life. I am fortunate to have them in my life. After a few years, we received a sad news about Mr. Pankaj’s demise that made us feel sad as we had someone very close to us. He was with us during our bad times and took out us from that. I will really miss how he used to call me by wrong name Hardik instead of my real name. He entered our life like an angel to save us from the dark side of the life. He was truly like a god’s messenger to us. Not only this phase we have several bad times in our life of different nature some regarding health, some financial and so on..

We should strongly fight with the situation and make it leave our lives.
