Scientists contribute to the world in many different ways and have created many things that help the development of human society. They develop theories that can change the world’s perception and whole viewpoints. If I can be one of these amazing people I would do a lot of things that can significantly help the world that we are living in today. Three of the achievements that I think will help the world are further space exploration, adaptations to climate change, and better medical care.
To start with, space exploration must be further achieved for the future of human society. Advanced space exploration can lead to humans finding other planets to settle. When space exploration continues, one day we can find a planet that is suitable for living such as Proxima Centauri b, c, and d. This can be beneficial to us because it can solve different problems that are occurring on Earth like overpopulation. If there are less people on Earth there will be less resources to be used which can help humans to prevent further climate change. In addition, if space exploration keeps going on, we can find more resources for the future. Nowadays, the world is using large amounts of resources such as fossil fuels that we don’t know when it will run out. Fossil fuels such as coal are limited and since it takes a long time for the coal to be produced again, we need to find another resource that can replace the coal. If humans focus on space exploration, we might find new sources of energy that can be used here on Earth. This can benefit our society by providing a lot more varieties of technology that can be developed which can elevate the level of human technology. In general, improving technology for space exploration not only helps space exploration itself, but it can improve our society as well.
Furthermore, adaptation to climate change is crucial for humans to survive. One of the adaptations that I will try to develop is to build a city above water. To explain, climate change can cause a rise in sea levels which can mean that some places right now that are above the sea level could be covered in water soon. To adapt to what is happening, we need technology that can help us to build a city above the sea that is organized like the cities on the land. If we are able to build a big city on the water, humans can stretch their territory to the sea as well, and can build more cities on the ocean. Thanks to this solution, people that can lose their home on the land due to the rise of sea levels can still live peacefully in their new home. Another major adaptation that needs to be processed is making a place that is unaffected by the temperature.
Climate change is making the Earth hotter and soon it will get to a point where people can no longer live a normal life outside. This is why humans need to build a place that is unaffected by the heat to be prepared for the high temperature and be safe from the rising temperature. These two big adaptations to climate change are very important because it can help the survival of our society even if the Earth changes into a place that we cannot live in anymore.
Finally, I would like to improve medical care because it can help people to live a longer and more peaceful life. One of the improvements can be better technology for the hospital to help the overall development of health care. Hospitals can provide exceptional services for the patients if they have better technology to examine them. The expansion of medical components will be able to help the doctors figure out what problem the patient has. Machines can also help with the process of curing the patients such as surgery and minor operations. With this new technology and machines, the job of the doctor is much easier and helps the patient avoid further complications. To add on, medical care can be improved by the further research of different medicines. If the quality of the medicines get better, more people’s lives will be saved. For example, before antibiotics were invented, many people died very early due to diseases. But now, when medicines are developed, people live much longer and they are able to better treat illnesses. For humans to live longer and have a more flexible life, medical care must be improved.
In conclusion, the accomplishments that I really want to attain are further space exploration, adaptations for climate change, and medical care. Space exploration can help humans to live at different places and make new technology with new resources. Additionally, adaptations for climate change are needed for the survival of humans. Finally, medical care is needed for humans to live a good quality life. Overall, in my opinion, these accomplishments are the most important for the future of human society and I would work hard to accomplish them if I were a scientist.
