For giving responses, to their wishes and prayers, many heroes came down to earth ,with the same dream . Among the  heroes one of the unsung  heroes , one of them  is “Manoranjan sen Gupta” .

The date of his birth is unknown.  On September 1898 , he took birth  at madaripur district ,which is situated in Bangladesh currently. He had grown up in sengupta’s family . he had not lived in proverty . His father was a proficient  accountant,  whose name was haladhar Sengupta and his brother were praffulla and Chittaranjan Sengupta .praffulla Sengupta  was a primeary school teacher in madaripur and his second brother homeopathic doctor. He was the  smallest among his three brothers. Chittaranjan Sengupta , the second brother of Manoranjan Sengupta , had gone to the jail many times during the British’s reign .  It can be realised that, Chittaranjan’s  patriotic acts made a heavy impact on the mind of little Manoranjan.

They were able to murder Nidar Haldar , an  intelectual  policeman of  the British reign . The story of their success,   reached to the ears of Jatin  Mukherjee  ,  who was the real founder of the organisation “Jugantar” , after a few days .

Jatin Mukherjee was well known as” bagha Jatin ” .  The name was given by the local people.  He praised  for the young Patriots and soon made them the participant  of an impactful mission.

At this time ,the British tracked the place and reached  there . The British surrounded them from the four sides , with powerful guns and other weapons .

When  the young boys realised it . they request  Jatin to escape ,  but Jatin refused the proposal . They fought but they could not fight for long . The battle is known as ” The Battle of Baleswar ” .

They were  sentenced to death in October 1915 and were executed in December 1915 by hanging.  Manoranjan was only 16 to 17 years old and other members would be probably between 20 to 25.

Today’s history did not leave any page for them but at that time at   Jugantar became a pan- Indian movement for their sacrifices of lives . Whether the  contributions of him and others are not being written in the pages of our history , we will be always grateful to them for their great sacrifices . Glory to Mother India  and India’s great children .  Jai Hind!
