Pablo Picasso and Van Gogh are the names which we are familiar with. These are those extraordinary personalities who devoted their lives to one field only – Art. Art as a field has been on the verge of decline for quite some time now. People are now more attracted towards money involved streams of career. Being an artist and its experience is slowly fading away from the minds of the new generation. Gone are the days when names like Syed Haider Raza depicted pride ad honour for our country in the art field especially among painters. But slowly, this form of visual art in which people make beautiful painting, is slowly vanishing.

The biggest reason for such a situation is the rise of the digital world. Now, people focus more on the digitally created art forms. The number of tools available for such art forms is also increasing day by day. Software firms are constantly working on providing more options for the people. Even the major hardware manufacturers are trying to find out more tools which can give more mediums for the people to create an art. Such an environment can be very negative for the art world.

Pandemic has even created more constraints for the artists who are still trying to make a mark in this field. It is a fact that the art exhibitions which were held offline in quite handsome numbers in some places in the world, has reduced drastically. Now, the more important factors which needs to be considered is the fact that now people have access to more art exhibitions which are being held online on virtual platforms. The rapid increase in the popularity in other art forms like acting and dancing due to the vast number of reality shows and opportunities in the form of social media platforms has exerted even more pressure on the painters.

It is also needed that the schools and colleges all over the world should promote and even motivate more children to take up art as a profession. This is because children are the one who can actually take forward the tradition of creating beautiful master pieces in the form of paintings.

But there are options today which can provide us some help in promoting this form of profession. The virtual courses available 24*7 for all, can help in igniting the interest in the field. After that, if we try to bring the already established personalities of the field and organize some webinars and virtual conferences, then it can provide some platform to the people confined in their places due to pandemic to put forward their thoughts in these difficult times. This way, people can have an option to ask the doubts which are present in their minds due to the uncertain times which we are facing right now. They can even try to get some contracts for their work and have an opportunity to earn for themselves and their family.

The second thing which can be done is that the people who are planning to make a career in art field, can try their hands on the digital form also. They can try to learn some skills related to digital art form, so that it can increase their knowledge. It can also help them in increasing their skill set. Then after that, they can have more opportunities for themselves. After all this, they can try to create a resume and a portfolio for themselves, if they are new in the field and can try to get some good internships and projects for themselves to gain experience and get recognized.

The next thing they can do is that they can take part in art competitions and try to showcase the world the best of their works. Even they can organize some kind of virtual meetings and discuss among themselves the steps they can take to keep themselves engaged. There is also an option of organizing art competitions, if they are experienced enough in the art field.

Then the most important thing they can do is that they can try work on their basics and can try to improve that a little bit more. They can even find some new form of arts or can collaborate on some new art form with their friends, who are in the same field of being a painter.

After doing all of the above steps, we can at least try to push ourselves to take steps in the right direction. We can definitely try to save the form of art which has been very popular in the past, but has somehow faded a bit.

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” —- Pablo Picasso
