Once in a while sitting in the drawing room of my home  with a mug of coffee in my one hand and the newspaper on the other, I came through a headline “SON KILLED THE 80 YEARS OLD FATHER AS HE WAS NOT ALLOWING HIM TO DRINK MORE”. For a moment I was absolutely stunned living in a male dominant society for 16 years what I have seen is how parents celebrate when the birth of a male child takes place in a family, while celebrating have they ever thought in their wildest nightmare that the same son will “kill him” for this stupid reason, what I want to uplift in this society is the condition of parents the way the today’s people deal with their parents. There is no denying the fact that world is changing at a very faster pace our elderly used to write letters we can communicate in seconds through our smart phones, Our parents might have not seen each other before marriage and now a day even live in relationship is becoming common. And there are many other things which we are doing today or very handy at doing which our parents might not even understand. But this does not give any right to disrespect his or her own parents, the over smartness that we show to our parents by solving a complex problem or any subject or typing any message on facebook, in front of them how can we forget that put complex things aside have we ever been able to hold a spoon properly without their help in our childhood???

We are fond of our beauty, our height, we become very elated and get flattered when someone compliments us. Forget about beauty would be even able to survive if our mothers have refused to breastfeed us when we were newly born. Our mother is the only person in the world who has left her beauty her ambitions only for us even after carrying us for nine months, bearing the labour pain for 12 hours which is equal to the breakage of 20 bones at the same time, no one can ever in the entire world can do this for us.

But the bigger question which arises here is for whom she is doing all these sacrifices????

  • To listen in future “Mom you are too old fashioned you don’t know the latest trends so don’t give advice???
  • When the girl comes late at home mom is something which is not caring but annoying according to her????
  • Even when that same mother grew old she becomes a liability ideas like sending her to “old age homes start striking in the mind.”What would have happened if after our birth she would have given up for adoption.

“A PICTURE CONVEYS A THOUSAND WORDS HAVE READ THIS QUOTATION OFTEN BUT TO BE HONEST WAS LEFT WITH ZERO WORDS AFTER BEHELDING THIS PICTURE”

That so called modern working girl is walking beside her own father. This person(His father) was the same person who:

➢ Gave up his 8 hours of sleep to make sure her newly born princess is sleeping peacefully.

➢ Make sure no one puts a bad eye on her daughter.

➢ Gave up all his basic amenities just to make sure her daughter have all the luxuries in the world.

➢ Spent almost all his savings about 3/4th of his entire salary just to make sure that her daughter is an independent working women.

BUT AGAIN THE QUESTION ARISES WHAT DID THE DAUGHTER GAVE IN RETURN????

➢ Walking beside that same person but not giving a damn wether he is happy or not.

➢ Considered him as overpossessive and annoying when he asked him to be at home by 7:00 pm. Don’t drink.

“WHEN DID THAT BABY GREW UP SOMUCH WHO USE TO CRY WHEN HER PARENTS LEAVE HER FOR A SINGLE MINUTE NOW BEGGING FOR SO CALLED PRIVACY AND SAYING ATLEAST LEAVE ME FOR A MINUTE”

“ACTUALLY THIS IS NOT PRIVACY TODAY OR IN SOME POINT OF HER LIFE THAT SAME BABY WILL REALISE THAT LIVING SANS PARENTS IS LIKE LIVING SANS BACKBONE MAY BE ALL THE PARTS OF BODY ARE WORKING PROPERLY, STILL THE ENTIRE BALANCE IS LOST”

(PRACTICAL VIEW)

➢ There are currently 728 old age homes in India , out of which detailed information of only 547 homes are present which means there are about 181 old age homes from which we do not get whereabouts of our life giver.

➢ Going by the news published in Mumbai mirror India times Vijaypath singhania revealed that his own son Gautam has been torturing him gravely for the past two decades even tried to kill him a lot of times.

➢ Next come the most heinous case of alls “A son has kept her mom’s body mummified who had died couple of years ago just to get her thumb impression so that he could continue getting the money through her pension”. This horrific act was quoted by all local dailies in 2018.

➢ Next are the cases of everyday where a drunk son ended up beating his parents. Throwing the parents out of the house and property etc.

What can we do in this matter???

➢ We are all aware that our country is mainly known for our cultures traditions respects etc. Aren’t we degrading it every time we reply back to our parents???

➢ There are some more heinous crime taking place all across the countries they are very shameful too. The culprits should be immediately punished but at the same time aren’t those who are doing bad to their own life givers are the biggest culprits in the world shouldn’t they be punished severely too??

➢ Being the citizen of this country if we see anything bad happening with any elderly in our nearby localities we should immediately report it to the nearby police stations.

➢ From time to time there should be proper seminars and campaigns for the senior citizens to make them informed about what laws are there for them to prevent there exploitation in any manner.

➢ At the end we should take pledge however angry or sad we are we will never let the emotions overtook us by behaving badly with our parents.

“A country where children are respectful to parents and elderly are contented , nobody can stop that country to be developed and flourished”

  1. Excellent articulation. Wonderful emotional appeal and clear-cut solutions. Perhaps it can at most make the society morally responsible and better.
But, girl, this write-up is a masterpiece.
    Keep it up.
