Reflections
When the sun disappeared
Black skies covered all that was blue
It is true that faith was on the back burner
Hope was lost and it wasn’t something I was trying to find
Love was buried in the cold
I let it be there for a long while
Sitting here this morning
I remember it all
I’m happy the storm passed and now it’s gone
I’m holding dear to the reminder and the memory
To the facts
My faith, my beliefs, as weak and little as it was back then was a solid rock that I could stand on
I lost the value in hope but thought of it all the time
Love was out there lifting me up
Waiting for me to be embraced when the time was right
It makes me sad that I was on this path for a little while
But I’m also so much more in love walking once again in my own light
I’m beginning today grateful
For the blessing of this day
The sun is out
The sky is blue
The clouds are exactly where they should be
