‘The world history had witnessed many heart-breaking events in the past, but above all, there is an event which has been mentioned in all museums, diaries, books and in people’s mind with black ink i.e. Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945’.

Introduction

Germany, a prosperous country in the west, was once considered hell. It was during the period when Germany was ruled by the merciless dictator Adolf Hitler. Hitler ruled Germany from 1933 to 1945 during which he was on a mission to remove all the lower castes people from his country, capture nearby lands and rule the world. It was this selflessness of Hitler which devastated the whole world.

How did this happen?

It all began after the defeat of Germany in the 1st World War when Germany was lacking behind in every aspect of the economy, defence, employment. Hitler after gaining people’s confidence that he will bring back the county’s respect and employment, went up to become the chancellor of the Nazi party. On 23 March 1933, the most infamous Enabling Act was approved by the German parliament Reichstag, which led to a complete dictatorship in Germany. Media, press, and judiciary all became subsidiaries to Hitler. It didn’t take Hitler, much time to remove all his political opponents, critics, and protesters. He formed separate police agencies, armies, and concentration camps. Conquering new regions was also being done on a great scale by attacking parts of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, etc.

People were trained to treat jews inferior to them. Children in school, women as well as adults- were taught non-tolerance towards jews. The people of Germany were unknowingly being filled with hatred and war feelings.

In 1935, Nuremberg Laws were passed which eventually considered Jews as an undesirable caste. The prosecution of Jews and other undesirable castes started on a large scale, secretly hiding from the general public. Jews were separated from the general public, starved in concentration camps and then killed.

How does it all end?

It all ended after the 2nd World War. Hitler after signing the Tripartite Pact with Italy and Japan attacked the Soviet Union in 1941. Japan, which had the intention to expand in the Asian parts, attacked the American Pearl Harbour. The USA which was initially unwilling to join the 2nd world war too joined the war. The war ended with the dropping of atomic bombs at Hiroshima & Nagasaki in Japan and the surrender of axis powers i.e. Germany, Italy, and Japan. Hitler and some of his ministers committed suicide and others remaining were held on trials and later on prosecuted.

The effects on the world

The United Nations was formed after the 2nd world war to maintain world peace. The world got to know about the Nazi mass killings through diaries, memorials, museums, and much more. One of the most famous pieces of evidence of the Nazi regime is the diary of a Jewish girl Anne Frank, in which she wrote about her life sufferings, tortures, how her family had to hide from the people to save themselves. It was only after the war and Nazi regime ended that the people of Germany got to know what was happening around them. Hitler had so cunningly imprinted a superhero image of him in everybody’s mind that he was there to bring Germany on top of the world. About 6 million Jews and a million Polish and coloured people were killed in the concentration camps set up by Hitler. Hitler was truly a symbol of the cruelness and harsh mentality that had ever existed on this planet Earth.

Conclusion

Hitler presented in front of us an example of huge devastation which a person can ever cause. It was due to his reluctance to lower castes and the wish to rule the whole world which led to a war in the world as well as the death of an unimaginable no. of people. Had Hitler, a person who had courage the entire world, been full of prosperous thoughts, it would have been unbelievable what kind of positive change he could have brought in the society. People like Hitler who have evil thoughts are there in the world everywhere around us, but it is our responsibility to protect ourselves as well as other people. It also infers that no matter how strong is evilness, it will be defeated by the good and mighty powers at the end. The almighty must bless us and protect us from all the evil powers which surround us or will be there in future.
