Kahoot is an open application that allows users to access it for free and answer pre-set multiple-choice questions. This app is a combination of online competition and popular testing, an EdTech application created in a simplified, intuitive, and animated form. Kahoot operates on a cloud platform so users need to connect to the Internet to use the App.

Let’s analyze Kahoot with the SWOT model to better understand the emerging aspects of this application. The strengths of Kahoot are thật it is free, the interface is easy to use and the graphics are intuitive and vivid, enhancing the interaction between teachers and students, as long as the device is connected to the Internet, you can use this application. Currently, Kahoot has appeared on the App Store and Google Play, the download process is also quick and convenient.

Another advantage is that Kahoot is currently quite rare in the market, especially in some countries like Vietnam, because it is relatively convenient, does not encounter many problems when using and does not require smart devices with complex configurations, all of which are suitable for the situation that often occurs as a traditional test in the classroom.

The typical limitation of this App are that it does not yet support the blind with the reading voice and has not created many other features such as the player’s rights, including the right to double or triple the number of points, the right to pass the questions, or the right to eliminate 2 out of 4 given choices. Secondly, it hasn’t yet allowed entering complex mathematical formulas such as radicals, exponents, systems of equations, intergrals, etc. Thirdly, it can’t monitor the answerers if they are cheating and find out whether the questioner’s information is grammartically correct and out of spelling errors, the exam preparation information is contrary to good customs, violating ethics, confidentiality rules or defaming politics or other countries or not. Forthly, in addition to the two main type of people who are the person giving the questions and the person answering the questions, Kahoot still does not support several others like the commentators, the donators and the technical supporters.

Common risks of the Kahoot application include: First is the copyright issue when Kahoot is too popular, many other applications will appear trying to imitate the same name or design with similar images and gameplay; Second is the issue of profit when Kahoot does not have many functions such as advertising from other units under contract or free use, which will pose many typical problems, especially application developers can maintain the server or further earn more profit from maintaining and developing the application.

Finally, the opportunities will be: One is to promote, encourage and replicate models or projects applying technology to teaching and the learning with the aim of increasing attractiveness and intuitive easy, most typically in the EdTech field through scientific cooperation, technology transfer, and capital mobilization; Two is to create the premise for developing the 4.0 industrial revolution with many technical reforms to increasingly meet the practical needs of knowledge mobilization as well as resource connection of the world; Third, it has demonstrated an advanced model consisting of three components: content creators and technicians to create the App, App users, and in the future, the App owners will coordonate with partners to develop Buy-in features, advertising products or services from businesses or officially use them in major world events such as COP or World Cup.

Kahoot is like a cool breeze blowing into life, hopefully through this article will help you understand more about this useful application to help you or more deeply by changing the world through the App you create.
