The deadline is within a few hours, and your procrastination leads you to the edge of a cliff. Don’t worry, writing an impressive and well-articulated essay will be cakewalk for you if you work on these points.

Get Rid of Distraction

When having a short time and a lot of work to do, you need to get rid of all distractions, which will lead to procrastination and a waste of time. So I switched off all social media apps and focused on my assignment.

Read and understand the essay statement

The starting point for an essay is to get the right understanding of the thesis statement or essay topic. The best decoding of the topic serves as the foundation of an essay, paving the way for us to reach our goal more quickly and easily.

Brainstorming

After understanding the topic of the essay, sit with paper and pen and think for about 5 to 15 minutes. Ask yourself questions about the topic. What are the main points of this statement and what are your ideas about the topic? Write it down on paper. For example, if an essay statement is about women’s empowerment, the questions like what is women’s empowerment , why it’s important, what are the causes and difficulties in the way of women’s empowerment, and how to improve and solve these problems.

Ask yourself questions like what , how, why , when, who, etc.

Search for the topic

After collecting points through brainstorming, move towards searching for the topic on the internet, book, or any other resource for deep understanding and material for an essay. Instead of spending the majority of your time reading and searching for the same site or resource, gather information about essays from a variety of sources; this is how you will gain a firm grasp on the subject.

Divide/use Time Wisely

The essence of how to write an essay fast is truly based on time management. If you manage your time efficiently, then the outcome is as per your desire.

The division of time varies from person to person and depends upon their capabilities, knowledge of a topic, and experience. But general time division is here.

10% understanding and topic brainstorming

30% research on the subject.

20% outlines

30% of the essay is written

10% is for revision and proofreading.

Outlining

The main point while writing an essay is outlining the essay. This is the step where the points from brainstorming and information from searching are aligned and make the ideas, and then these ideas are used in the essay body structure. This pit stop provides you more clarity and vision about what you write and how to structure your essay in an effective way, manage large amounts of data, and shape a great essay with accurate points.

Create a draft and revise

When starting to write an essay, never jump to the final draft. It will contain a lot of mistakes and sentence structure errors. First, write the draft, in which you write down all the essay with the alignment of supporting ideas with claims in an essay body structure. Then, after you are done with writing, edit the draft, correct the mistakes, check the sentence structure, and claim the essay statement. Then call it final.

Make Use of Your Own Words

What makes an essay stand out from others? The answer is uniqueness. The use of your own words and writing style makes your essay different and helps the readers directly connect with your ideas and thoughts about that topic.

Things to Avoid

There are a few things you must avoid while writing a hassle-free essay.

Don’t copy from the internet; try to be original.

Don’t use difficult words or sentence structures; this will lead to the readers’ loss of interest and difficulty understanding your point.

Don’t make grammatical mistakes; this will leave a bad impression on readers

Don’t use the short form of words. Instead, use full abbreviations, for example ASAP.

Don’t compromise quality over quantity. Always focus on quality rather than stressing about the quantity of your essay.

A Solid Introduction and Conclusion at Last

After you are done with writing your whole essay, turn towards the introduction and conclusion of your essay. The reason behind this is that writing an introduction at the beginning will make you stuck at the beginning and will cause a waste of time. Instead of doing it at first, write it at last because you have got a lot of confidence in the topic as well as in yourself, and you will articulate the introduction and conclusion in a better, more concise, and more composed way.

Time Saving Tools

Writing an essay is a game all about time. There are many tools which will help you accelerate the process of writing an essay.

Grammarly can be used to correct grammatical errors.

Use Google Scholar to search for data about a topic.

Revision

On completion of the essay, take 5 to 10 minutes to revise the essay to double check if there are any mistakes or if you forgot any important points to add to the essay.

Conclusion

How to write an essay fast? The answer is simple: use the right search terms, articulating ideas with accurate information to accelerate your speed and manage your schedule by the right division of time on different parts of the essay.
