A review essay is analysing what you have read. A review essay can be presented in many different ways, either argumentative or written in a certain style as long as the review is in line with what the writer has read.
Remember when doing reviews you are not supposed to include any referencing or use any additional materials which are not included in the essay you are currently reviewing.
Also when doing a review you are not supposed to compare what is written for example you cannot compare X and Y, rather you are supposed to find the main points which when the reader is reading the review he or she can get the whole concept of the essay.
In order to write a review essay be sure to include; the title, the body, and the conclusion.
The title normally consists of the heading which you choose to give your review, your name while the body consists of the questions and the answers of the questions which have been raised. Whereas the conclusion is where to get to answer all the questions raised while reviewing so that the reader understands what the review is all about.
Steps to Take in Order to Write a Good Review Essay
When reading make sure you take notes only on the main points. Write down the some points which seems to be very interesting in the essay or article you are reviewing. Also state your views and opinions about the essay, before you can write your review you should be able to identify the type or style of the article which you have you have read and how you wish to present it so that it may be easily understood.
Mention what you feel the essay or article is missing, if the essay or article was a comparative one, then if the writer did not compare you point out what the writer missed. In short you point out your opinions in line with what you have read and you make suggestions which are beneficial to the reader in line with the topic.
Summarise your information and be sure that all the points which you have collected the reader is able to get the overall message of your review. Your summary must contain all the important messages that you want the reader to know or to take note of, since this is the closing paragraph or the closing statement. So if the reader did not understand the review then there was no need to write the review since it was not informative.
A good review must not have spelling errors so it is good that every time after doing a review of an article or essay you must make sure that you check your spelling and grammar. Normally this must be done after every paragraph and at the end of your essay.
Also you introduce the second person who can help you check for spelling errors. This makes the reader to take your essay seriously since it shows that you have put effort in your writing. An essay review should be enjoyable when reading, this helps the reader to enjoy reading your review.
An author must always remember that reading can be used in different ways either for relaxing, healing and many other things. So the writer must always to write the review in a way that it caters for all the people yet still covering what is supposed to be covered in the review.
Before you can start your essay review make sure that you clearly understood the topic which you will be making the review on. This helps to write your essay review easily since you fully understand what you want to write.
The type of font you use when writing your essay also maters since there are different and fonts cannot be easily read. So choosing the right font and the right font size is equally important as writing a good essay review. This is because you can write a good essay review and the font you use may not present your review properly to the reader.
Nothing beats an essay which is written by a writer whose state of mental is equally fit as the ink of his pen.
