Echoes of Tomorrow
In the stillness of night, when the world holds its breath,
A teen stands on the edge, flirting with doubt and death.
Thoughts swirl like autumn leaves, restless and wild,
A heart once so hopeful now feels like a child.
“Will I ever be enough?” the question takes flight,
In the shadows of silence, it lingers each night.
With every expectation, a weight on my soul,
The dreams I once cherished now feel out of control.
Friends seem like constellations, bright but too far,
Their laughter a melody, a distant guitar.
In crowded rooms filled with faces I know,
I feel like a ghost, unseen in the flow.
Overthinking whispers, “You’re failing, you’re lost,”
As worries pile up, counting each heavy cost.
The pressure to fit in, to shine and to soar,
Leaves me feeling empty, like I’m losing the war.
Yet amid all this chaos, a flicker persists,
A spark of resilience that quietly twists.
For even in darkness, when hope feels so thin,
There’s strength in my journey, a chance to begin.
So I gather my courage, though trembling and weak,
And step into the light, with the voice of the meek.
For every moment of doubt is a chance to be brave,
A reminder that I’m more than the fears I can’t save.
