Development of wearable health technology transforming patient care and health monitoring.
Being an enthusiast of biology, somewhere it does feel a little illegal and awkward to think of this extreme combination of biology and technology and damn when written together, Bio+Technology, the combination isn’t any less great than an atom bomb. The technical term Biotechnology does sound very intriguing and, in my opinion, the word not only carries a great impact on listeners but also is very heavy and can form an extremely deadly duo when used correctly in the field of heal and patient care.
In today’s world where AI is competing with the limits of the sky and is almost about to replace humans, it would definitely be a supreme outlook if humans use it with wisdom and without any greed. Afterall, we, the great humans have created AI and the same way where a creator and be destroyer too, we might feel sometimes of destroying AI but sadly it is now an evitable part of human’s life that if a human won’t use AI even for a second, he would put himself in the lost and found case.
Over the past few decades, patient care, the medical field and healthcare have bloomed in this very beautiful garden of an advanced world with technology acting as a manure to it. Be it advanced diagnostics, expensive treatments, fixing our smiles to even giving shape to our noses, the medical field has accomplished a lot in this extraordinary world. And, how can we forget how our lives are solely somewhere dependent on biotechnology.
As the moon revolves around the earth without any change in its schedule, technology too revolves around the society of health and care, the same way. Just a click away and we get all the information of our health checkup done just a few hours before, faster than the time taken by a company to refund our money after placing return of an item. Typical world. The advancements in genetic engineering is something which should not be missed out, a disease just in its growing stage can be prevented from spreading into the body of a child that is still in his mother’s womb. Magical.
Biotechnology has reshaped the medical and patient care field with so much ease that even a pottery maker would sweat tons after seeing the drastic unfolding into healthcare systems and leaving every single patient with certain and satisfied outcomes. From detecting a cataract to a small hole in our so small yet big heart is a thing to be looked upon to see how later or sooner we are going to mingle with an atmosphere of utmost AI.
Imagine, our so big body with around 30 trillion cells, 11 organ systems and 78 body parts, a quarter maybe yet to be discovered, the great scientists who have played a vital role in finding every single organelle in a cell of about 10 micrometres. Ignoring the fact that they added up our syllabuses only.
Everything has its pros and cons and so does biotechnology, a time where acts as a great source of giving a new life to a person either by transplanting his heart or by giving him eyes to see the serene yet hazardous world is highly commendable. But our deadly combo fails when it comes to identifying the gender of an unborn and taking his life with absolute no right.
Drastically transforming the landscape of healthcare, biotech has proven to be a gold spoon but when used hazardously the same spoon may act as a knife ending our life permanently.
