Women empowerment can be defined to promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. It is their right to work, and become independent.

What do you mean by a woman? Is she an adult person? An established entrepreneur? A wife? A mother? A daughter? A daughter in law? An aunt? A then grandma? Well she is all of the above. It seems to be quite uncommon for a woman to play so many roles, but it is so fortunate that she does play so many characters throughout her journey of life.

What do you mean by empowerment? It’s the basic authority given to someone to do something worth it. When we add these two beautiful words together there is a very independent word created- ‘Woman Empowerment’.

ADVANTAGES

1) Women empowerment helps in improving the quality of women, standard of women in urban, rural, remote, and metro areas.

2) It prevents the heinous crime of female foeticide.

3) It helps in reducing domestic violence and and terrible crimes against women like rape, sexual harassment, etc.

4)It rules out racism, sexism, gender inequality in society and in all realms of the communities, cities, states, all countries which is all over the globe.

5) The prosperity of women has been a born to the economic, financial state of the country.

6) It also rules out the societal issues like poverty, unemployment and birth control in India. Where getting pregnant before marriage is assumed to be spiteful and transgress.

7)It helps in securing the rights of women in India thereby maintaining the social stature of them in the so called society.

8) It helps in achieving comprehensive growth in each sector and for all the sections of society.

9) Empowered women can also contribute to the building of a progressed nation by joining different sectors like army, social service, politics, education, government jobs, corporate sector, etc.

10) The future are women. The government should give them a nudge to be able to work and also become independent.

MY THOUGHTS

I strongly feel that, the concept of a women is underrated. Why is that still in so many houses the women is considered to be less than the men. Why is there so much angst amongst everyone to actually certify the presence of a women. When she is a good mother, wife and a daughter in law, she is considered as sacred, selfless and homely. And the minute she starts to think about herself, she is considered to be arrogant, needy and selfish.

I am a feminist and I own it. People have to be a little consistent and considerate towards the fragile topic of women empowerment. I want the women all around me which includes me too, to be independent, bold, feisty, strong, blunt, crisp and most importantly straightforward. The concept of womanhood and women empowerment can only be accepted by a optimistic change in behaviour and thinking. “Change comes from good thinking ” “We are stronger and happiest together” Go women, get them, grow and grow. “Grow until your growth gets unmeasurable.”
