THE FACE OF THE LADY I SAW THAT DAY...

One day, while on a holiay, i was helping my mother dry out washed clothes. suddenly i felt a stare on me, when i looked around i found an old lady looking my way with emotions i couldn’t express. she was continuously staring at me (not making me feeling uncomfortable either) , but as i felt a bit strange i told my mom about it, and as she came to look, she halted mid-way as she got a glimpse of the lady. it was strange as i couldn’t get any idea as for what was going on and standing there like a sore thumb trying to comprehend the weird behaviour of my mom, whose emotions AGAIN i couldn’t guess.

Until when i remembered anput the baby my mother brought along 11 years ago, who i remeber my mom was always tryna hide away, but what strike me was that the lady in front looked a lot like the older version of the baby from years ago. The baby, i remembered playing around with it and i had to be so careful as it was really , i mean REALLY TINY compared to how normal babies are, so much as just to a bit bigger than the size of the palm of my hand (considering i myself wasn’t old enough).

I recollected the babygirl growing abnormally fast and my mother being SUPER attached to it. something was definitely there in the baby , considering how everyone used to get attached to it so easily, even we loved being around it.  but one day it just disappeared, and my mother never mentioned anything about it ever again even after we asked so many times and eventually everyone forget about the baby (don’t really know if my mom ever overcame that though).

Didn’t knew what exactly happended after – whether my mom herself send the baby away or the babygirl left herself after, maybe knowing something that shouldn’t be mentioned. but looking at the way my mother was gazing at the lady, the emotions on her face returned to the way which she had while carrying the babygirl backthen; which i had somewhere or the other forgotten. and as i was about to reach out to her and ask what was wrong……….. I WOKE UP; remembering the face of the lady i saw that day! {who knows if the baby from 11 years ago could have turned into the lady i saw that day}.
