MY SHADOW
Lost in the desert or sea
In this ecstatic journey
I just aim to break free
All I want to do is seize control
And fly on my own ‘solo’
Shadow, my dear shadow
I met you in the dreams of history
Where childhood seemed like a wonderland of mystery
I saw a smiling kid with innocent eyes
Surrounded by many of world’s sorrows and cries
A budding rose from the thorns of life
You were as pure as snow
A tiny sapling waiting to grow
You never believed in shining stars
Thinking they seemed so far
But I have seen that galaxy
And experienced your fantasy
I know you chased for your dreams
And I promise I will too
Shadow, my dear shadow
Laughing like an adult
Then crying like a child
Even after this long, we are so alike
I want to match you again with my heart
When the dawn comes
Like the earth and the sunlight
You are the part of me as I am the part you
And I will be your bloom
Afterall, when the rain finally stops
The sun will again shine bright
Deep into the ocean of endless opportunities
I will crown myself with determination and victories
I won’t rely on anyone to survive
Because I have already changed my life
Running after the endless light
Leaving all of my sorrows and plight
The light that seemed like coming from eternity
The light that brightened up our nights
I locked away my heart and soul
Behind a mask so tight
But now it’s my time to rise
And I will keep climbing up high from dawn to twilight
In the whispers I will discover my voice
Amidst the echoes I will make my own choice
Embracing the challenge, fearless and bold
I will write my own fairytale with stories untold
Then, if I call you in my world
Will you come?
I will share my vast golden galaxy with you
My happiness & my successes
To bring that all to you
Dear Readers, I believe there is a light in each one of us that shines the brightest in the darkest of the nights so always trust yourself and the path ahead will unravel itself. You are way stronger than you think and in the words of Einstein Time is relative not absolute and it is deemed to change.
So, keep working hard and believe in the shadow within
