Eternal Dance of the Universe

The forever dance of the universe plays out
With every particle a prominent part,
A star no different than an atom,
A mortal no different than a god.

The movement of the turbulent waves
That flow throughout the Pacific Ocean,
The collision of two galaxies far, far away,
The chasing and playing of two small children,
The collapse of a big corporation,
No activity different from another,
In the forever going dance of the universe.

And a million different variations of this dance
There could’ve been to play out as;
The world could have troddled a different path,
And nothing would’ve been different about that.
But for reasons ahead of my comprehension…
It chose to play out this way.

The dance where I sit down to ponder,
Why is it like this today?
The way feels to hint to a greater part,
A part incredible but in vain,
And the vain soon cripples down itself
To rubble, bringing everything with it.
In a dance of flames and fire,
Another dance of waves crashing higher,
A desire to hide in a cave far away A wish to dance nowhere and never.

As if I am an electron floating in the abyss
From the rays of a far distant star
From the explosion of a million years ago.
I wish to see change,
or another dance far majestic;
Preoccupied ideas from the dead finally flourish.

A wish to be free,
To extend one’s hands to the gods
To be lifted up to another dance,
that is never flawed,
and shining brightly with its undying beauty,
Its undying glory,
A dance where the universe is an atom again.
