Dilemma

I don’t know what to do with this youth;
Some say invest in you.
Some say live fully.
Some say live by your heart.

The great saints told me to study and concentrate.
The great leaders told me to take action and
not just sit and accumulate information.

My dad doesn’t haunt me with his retirement,
Which arrives half a decade from now.
I haunt myself with that thought.

I wondered why all this dilemma.
Even if we had all the money in the world,
Even if there was no such thing as retirement.
This dilemma will be omnipresent.
All over the world it is.

What to do? This is universal dilemma.
This isn’t about that paper which is money.
This is about that beating drum which is your heart.
It will stop one day.

Do what others can’t, but you can.
Do what your heart pumps that blood for.
Do what can be done before that unforgiving grave.
Do, just do.

If this creates another chaos in your mind;
Forgive me, Sleep a little, and start afresh.
Forgive me. Here’s another one.
Whatever you are, be a good one.
Says Abraham Lincoln.
Forgive me not. Its Lincoln’s words.

Don’t worry. The dilemma of,
What if I had done that?
How life would look if I had done this?
Would always exist.
This is all a dream. Make it look good.
And let your deeds bend your lips north.
And someone else’s too.
