If you teach a man anything, he will never learn – George Bernard Shaw

Hello Everyone, I have come again with yet another interesting topic “Dream Place to Visit”. Everyone will have a dream place to visit and we will be so excited about it. Whenever that place name is heard, we try to become the centre of attention by telling its significance, interesting facts, its history, etc.

My dream place to visit is Paris. It is located in Northern Central France. It’s the Capital of France, also called the City of Love, City of Lights. Paris is named as “City of Love” because of its sights, its native language (French), and it is popular as a honeymoon destination. It is called as the “City of Lights” because it is the birthplace of the Age of Enlightenment, one of the first cities to have electricity and is also a centre of education and ideas.

I’d like to let you know some interesting facts about Paris and here it goes:

  • Calcium Sulphate Hemi hydrate is commonly known as the Plaster of Paris because it was found deposited in large amounts in the Montmartre hills in Paris.
  • Paris was a Roman city named ‘Lutetia’. There is a belief that Paris has only one stop sign in the entire city.
  • Pont Neuf is the oldest Bridge in Paris .
  • 1,803 monuments and 173 museums are in total there in Paris.
  •  It is free to shoot in Paris except for scenes shot in a garden, museum or swimming pool.
  • With 302 stations, the Paris Metro is the 4th largest public transport system in the world.
  • There are ten Statues of Liberty in France, five of which are in Paris.

Paris is the world’s most visited capital. There are many foods that you can try in Paris (I think it’s watering in your mouth like mine now).

Now let’s jump in to the most interesting topic, it’s nothing but Food. Yeah, there are many varieties of food in Paris that you must give out a try. Escargots, Foie Gras, A fresh baguette, Croissant, Nutella Crepe, Jacques Genin caramels, Bouillabaisse are some which you must try. I think its watering for you like mine. If so, give me a Hi Fi, Hurrah! Don’t worry you can eat it very soon.

Some of the most famous restaurants in Paris are Le Chateaubriand, Breizh Café Marais, Le Camion Qui Fume, and Septime. Some of the oldest restaurants in Paris are Bofinger which was opened at 1864, La Petite Chaise which opened at 1680. If you get a chance, go, visit and share your experience with others.

Some people have a question arising in their mind I think, Can I guess it?

It is,” Is Paris safe at night?” Have I guessed it right readers? The answer is yes, it’s safe. It is one of the safest cities in the world. You can wander anywhere in the city without any fear. The center and touristy areas of Paris are very safe.

Is Paris Expensive?

Yeah, it is of course expensive. Paris is the most visited city in the world and it is expensive too. It would tell that it’s worth the price because you get many things, experiences, food, tourist spots and a lot more.

What is the minimum wage in Paris?

In 11 years, the hourly minimum wage increased by 1.73 euro. The gross minimum wage in France was 10.03 Euros as of 2018.

Was Paris a Roman City?

The Roman city of Lutetia was the predecessor of present-day Paris.

What is the culture of France?

Its center of fashion, cuisine, art and architecture, but life outside of the City of Lights is very different and varies by region. France doesn’t just have culture; the word “culture” actually comes from France.

What Languages are spoken in Paris?

Several regional languages are also spoken to varying degrees as a secondary language after French, such as German dialects (Alsatian 1.44%), Celtic languages (Breton 0.61%) and other Gallo-Romance languages.

So I think you have gathered much information about my dream place to visit. I’m happy to tell you these. Did you enjoy reading my essay? I hope so. If not, I try to in my next essay. Until then, bye, my dear readers.
