Journey of the Babri masjid to Ayodhya Ram temple in 1528-2024:
- 1528: In Medieval period the Mughal Empire King Babur has destroyed the Ram Temple and Built the Babri Masjid Mosque, to Promote Islam in India.
- 1551: Marathas, sought to control of Ayodhya, Kashi, Varanasi and Mathura.
- 1853: A Hindu sect claims that the temple was destroyed during Babur’s region to make way a Mosque.
- 1858: Nihang Sikhs made an attempt to claim Babri Masjid as Lord Ram’s birth place.
- 1885: Raghubar Das filed Legal Suit to build a temple on a outer courtyard of the Mosque.
- 1949: People saw the placement of Ramlalla idols inside the Babri Masjid.
- 1986: Babri Masjid locks opened, allowing Hindus to worship inside the Mosque.
- 1989: ‘Shilanyas’ performed adjacent to the disputed shrine.
- 1990: L.K.Advani launches a Rath Yatra from Somnath (Gujarat) to Ayodhya (UP) to incite support for the Ram temple and stopped in Bihar.
- 1992: Babri Masjid has demolished and shift the Temple to this place.
- 2003: Archaeological Survey of India has found that the temple was built in 10thCentury and proof had been found of a massive structure just below the demolished Babri Masjid.
- 2019: Supreme Court awarded the entire disputed land for Ram Mandir Construction.
- 2020: Our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing “Bhumi Pujan” and formation of Ram Temple.
- 2024: Inauguration Ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The Ceremony was done by Our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2024.

The Ayodhya Ram temple was inaugurated by our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2024. People around the world are commemorating the “Historic day of Ram Mandir”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the “Pran Pratishtha” Ceremony as the “mukhya yejman”, life into the idol of Ram Lalla. Prime Minister Narendra Modi address a gathering of over 7000 people including visionaries and dignitaries of the temple. Lakhs of people from all over the country thronged Ram Mandir that day.
Ayodhya temple is more attractive with lights, flowers, huge banners and beautiful decorations for the grand ceremony of the historic Ram Mandir. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Cricketer player Sachin Tendulkar were also present inside the sanctorum dividing the rituals. The land was allotted to Ram Temple in Ayodhya in 2.7 acres. The built-up area of Ram Temple is 57,400 square feet.
Ram Temple is 360 feet long, 235 feet wide and 161 feet height. The temple has 392 pillars and 44 doors, some of door has been coated with gold. The temple is a great tourist attraction, beautiful and pilgrimage place for Hindus. Ram Temple has immense cultural, religious and Historical importance. The faith of all India and world people is linked to this temple. Ram Mandir is not just a temple; it reminds us that good always wins. It is the place of everyone who believes in the magic of God.
