Ayush Chopra

Now, he believes that he is an ordinary boy, but when it comes to his desire to work for promotion and protection of human rights, he can be classified as quite Extraordinary. He was passionate since childhood, but it manifested into him ever since he entered 13th year of his life. Three were many innovative ideas knocking in his mind for the betterment of the society and mankind in broad. While working on his dream and making other people’s lives better, never did he thought that he will be able to represent our beloved country, India, and that too at the United Nations headquarters in New York!

This event was made even more special when he got to know that this was going to take place on his birthday, which is on 24th August – it was a beautiful moment for him. He was obviously not ready for this big moment, for this presentation, in spite of all of the learning he went through in the past two years. He might have been studying, playing and enjoying all of the luxuries of life at this age, but is so driven by the desires to help the disadvantaged sections of society, making him quite extraordinary.

At the conference, he was, despite of feeling nervousness, confident, loud and fearless. As a result, he was able to represent well when he received a standing ovation and a hearty round of applause from the Dignitaries and the other people present. This exact moment made him feel that “Yes! he was doing something meaningful!”.

He also takes great pride in being the Indian Ambassador for the TeachSDGs projecthttp://www.teachsdgs.org/TeachSDGsAmbassadorsBios.html , initiated by the Global Goals Education Task Force, which is a volunteers-based worldwide network of teaches established in 2017. He has been so active engrossed in his work that, apart from working for the SDGs of UN, he also has founded the community @SDGsForChildren. He also has been a winner in WIPRO-XUB Sustainability Summit and contest, hosted by Xavier School of Sustainability (XSoS), Bhubaneshwar, India.

Coming back to the present time, he also has been invited by Microsoft Education to host the Tweet Meet, which was on “Empowering Student’s Voice”. It certainly was an enthralling experience for him to host the chat with 19 other Global Educators! He is now completing his study in Ahlcon International School, Delhi.

He has founded the community @SDGsForChildren http://www.sdgsforchildren.org/. Many schools and children globally are now part of this community and contribute to various projects related to Human Rights and SDGs.

Here is a link of a poem, which is written by Ayush and her lil Sister, Ananya Chopra, 10 years old and published in youtube is genuinely depicting their talent. Bravo!! We need more Ayush and Ananya in our country.
