I know a great sportsman who created history .He is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain of the Sri Lankan national team. It’s none other than Kumar Sangakkara , one of the world’s most influential and greatest cricketers of all-time, Sangakkara has  many  partnerships with  teammate , Mahela Jayawardene and holds numerous  records in the modern era across all formats of the cricket .Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara was born on 27th  October 1977.Sangakkara scored 28,016 runs in international cricket across all formats. he scored 28,016 runs in international cricket .If only two nearly perfect modern era cricketer is to be portrayed, then the first must be Sachin Tendulkar and for the second spot, none has better claim as Kumar Sangakkara.Sangakkara was a multi-talented one from his childhood. Winning national colours in badminton and tennis, being a chorister, serving as a head boy, playing violin, getting prestigious awards like ‘The Trinity Lion’ and ‘Ryde Gold Medal’, were some of his early achievements.

Sangakkara’s arrival was sensational. An extreme match of 156 against Zimbabwe  in the year 2000 gave a slight glimpse of his great  ability. He has a very great  career, 371 catches, having 20,911 runs and 33 stumpings under his cap in 260 matches. From a guy who used to play a sheet anchor role for his team and had limited playing shots in his career , Sangakkara has got almost every cricket shot in his arsenal.he swiftly evolved into an attractive batsman and won the game and the hearts of fans.

He was  a good back-foot player and was  playing cut and pull shots. But he made changes to his batting style and became a  front-foot player as well. His cover-drives are still one of the best, though he always strived to play straight drives . Sangakkara is 1.78 m in height. Sachin Tendulkar remains the all-time highest run-scorer in Tests and ODIs, while Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara also challenged him. Although Sangakkara failed to surpass him, he is rated as one of the best batsmen to ever play in the format and equally challenged Tendulkar.he is not only a great sportsman ,he is also a great person .when an interviewer ask about his nationality he replied as “I am Tamil, Sinhalese, Muslim and Burgher. I am a Buddhist, a Hindu, a follower of Islam and Christianity.” .not all sportsmen are like him and that’s why he has created history .Kumar is one of the richest Cricket Players. Kumar Sangakkara is also listed on the elit list of Richest Cricket Players born on October 27 . His net worth is approximately $1.5 Million.still he is humble and down to earth .

He is a great cook as well.Starting their own restaurant was something  Kumar and his wife had wanted to do for a long time. When they brought up the  ‘Ministry of Crab’ it was an ideal opportunity to realize this dream for owning a restaurant .’Ministry of Crab’ is the name of the restaurant he own.Balancing his time between cricket and the restaurant was no easy feat for Deputy Chairman Kumar. His famous dish was  the Chilled Steamed Crab served with Warm Butter Sauce and the much-favored Pol Sambol.

I am expressing my gratitude to the accomplishments of Kumar, one of the best fans of Sri Lanka. As an athlete,  Sangakkara made a valuable gift from the country. Sangakkara established many partnerships within a few years with teammates and friends.he has numerous hit records in various modern games .He has won international awards such as “Cricket Player of the Year” and “Brick Player of the Year“. And “International Cricket Player Day”. He is a generalist. He was excellent at sports and learning in school. He is also an excellent speaker. Kumar Sangakkara is and always will be a legendary character in cricket in Sri Lanka . He is an important credit to our country.

Sangakara once said ‘cricket is a funny game.we have had legends  and living legends but the game doesn’t stop for anyone’.In a post-match interview, Kumar once famously called on his team mates to understand their place in history.  As much as history is made by heroes, they are also  fallible human being.they stand to warn us against  attaching our future hopes  to us no matter how brave or virtuous they may be.Their heroism is worth nothing if all they inspire is nostalgia and longing. The greatest heroes are those who make others feel they too can, and indeed must, become heroes themselves. He himself has created history in sports . Kumar’s father is a  lawyer and mother worked as a  teacher. After his retirement, he will  devote his time to raising his  children to be  productive citizens because every parent must teach their children too. not only from the Cricket fields but from many other walks of life.kumara sangakkara is a sportsman who wrote history .
