Surat, in particular, are famous for polishing diamonds, Jaipur as a trove of
precious and semi-precious gems for merchants and traders. Exclusive
technologies (similar to CAD + CAM or laser engraver) to fabricate modern
jewelries can be utilized in the metro cities. From Stores to Houses and MNCs
hiresmiths, designers, appraisers, gem and diamond graders, enamellers,
polishers, and experts from all over the world. Enterprises like a skill service
provider (freelance designer, freelance smith, enameller, inlayer, casting services
etc.), independent business (gem or diamond trader, metal and raw material
trader, tool supplier etc.) are also the profitable and satisfying job options one
                             can consider.

Paris and Italy have become the fashion capital utilizing the computer-
aided design for the manufacture. These cities and the others, including London,
New York, Moscow, and Hong Kong have many jobs opportunities for the
jewelry designers. The top jewelry houses prioritize aesthetics irrespective of any
condition or boundaries which turn the piece of jewelry into a piece of art.

The stream of traditional Indian jewelry is heavily encumbered, because
of lack of artisanship and practicing westernisation. Most of the traditional
jewelry houses such as The Gem Palace are struggling to keep up with the
modern approach of the industry. Traditional techniques of fabrication such as
Minakari (enamelling), Kundan, Jadau, Tarkashietc are slowly becoming
obsolete, and are being replaced by inexpensive metals and fake or semi-precious
                             stones.

Jewelry industry, which serves as an intersection point for investment,
mining, arts, product manufacturing and fashion industries has a proverb, ‘as
long as women are there, so are the jewelries’. The appreciation for aesthetics
and longing for adornment is beyond the influence of any economic condition.
So, a successful future will rest on creative personnel. Like other professions, the
jewelry industry has also evolved and will also be evolving with time, offering
benefits and having some drawbacks. Although new technologies have reduced
the time and effort to make a piece, a skilled and talented craftsman will always
have the last triumph dedicated to enchanting beauty.
