Law
It was the day when I started reading out novels I began to realize what was
really inspiring for me. One of the novels was about the famous book called
'Long Walk to Freedom' written by the great person Nelson Mandela- a lawyer
by profession and a president later. Reading through the book, it changed my
mental horizon, and unlike the other books, it was about the journey of pain, and
difficulties that he went through. The struggle throughout his life from the
'movement of apartheid' he started till he became the president of South Africa.

What was really inspiring for me was his strength. The amount of
strength that he had, to stand up for the black people and to start the movement
called 'apartheid' is something which truly requires courage. It is not possible to
find that kind of courage in everyone. He nearly spent more than half of his life
in prison- for 27 years just for the sake of his citizens. And his story gave me my
purpose of life.
Thus, after the completion of reading the story, I thought to take up law
as my career because I wanted to be just like Nelson Mandela. He got placed in
my heart so strongly that I started thinking deeply about the reasons for his fight
for the people of his country. It is a highly reputed profession and without
exception and some of the greats like Mahatma Gandhi, Barak Obama, Abraham
Lincoln etc have been the part of it. Everything that was related to human
rights/duties, laws and principles inclined me towards it in such a way that I
found it fascinating for me. And that's when I judged my strength that I truly
derived out from the reading of Mandela's book and I gave priority to my choice.
Just like any other profession, the law is a profession that is highly competitive
and demands infinite patience and hard work should go on before one makes a
mark. It takes nearly five years to complete the law course and finally two years
of master's degrees. Three years’ LLB course usually involves lesser expenses in
the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for three years. The 5 years’ BA LLB
comparatively costs a little more in lieu of about Rs 3,00,000 for five years. The
