There are specialization courses such as corporate law, international law,
criminal law and many more. Law is that body that safeguards, guarantees the
rights of people and aware them. Like the doctor or an engineer, lawyer,
therefore, is an indispensable for that it opens the door to justice. A lawyer may
not use any special equipment to solve the problems of society like doctors, but
they certainly help to reduce the pain of common people. Because it takes fewer
days to recover from physical pain, but with mental pain, it's quite uncertain and
hard to recover. And that's what exactly the lawyer tries to do.
Besides that, the lawyer has this intrinsic capacity to twist the matters. It
is his/her worldly wisdom that he/she can forsee the matters and arrive at the
truth with the speed of light. In his/her career, one may try to save a suspected
criminal, mitigate the suffering and combine mercy with justice but he will never
try to attest the stamp of legitimacy to the illegitimate and uphold injustice as
justice. Like a conscious writer, a conscious writer can never lose sight of his/her
duty and obligations to society. They try to bring hope and happiness into the
lives of people and serve the great purpose of being human before being a
lawyer. Therefore, taking up any career in life should be able to fulfil the main
objective of the course rather than to dwell over things like money matters.
Apart from material success, it should try to bring a sense of fulfilment.
Scope of any profession is immense. There are ample of opportunities. It doesn’t
matter what other people's perception of it is. What matters is as long as one is
strong and confident about what he/she is willing to take up, s/he should go
ahead with it. One can either practice as an advocate in a court of law or work
with corporate firms. Through the exams conducted by Public Service
Commissions, a law graduate can also opt to be a judge. Teaching in colleges,
working with NGOs and working as a reporter for newspapers and television
channels are other attractive options. One can also work as a legal adviser for
various organisations. Different roles of law professionals are known by different
names such as a criminal lawyer, civil litigation lawyer, legal analyst, document
drafting lawyer, legal journalist, legal advisor, government lawyer, judge. Law is a
high paying profession; however, the income depends on the calibre, popularity
and success of the lawyer.
