CHAPTER 12

Mrs. Vaken gave a couple of loud rings on the doorbell. After
locking the store-room, Mr. Vaken opened the door hurrily. His

wife told him that she was ringing the doorbell several times.
Mr. Vaken gave clarification that he was taking bath. After

returning from the super-market, both Mrs. Vaken and Renzia
were dog-tired. They were holding environment-friendly carry

bags full of newly-buyed products. They both took a sigh of
relief after a hectic dayout. Mr. Shemp remained in his
chamber. Mr. Vaken was left in extreme trepidation, so he

preferred to be alone. He took a hot water bath and reached

the bird sanctuary for birdwatching. He was alone with his
thoughts. He was in a dilemma of what to do next. The
poltergeist of his friend, Mr. Shemp was residing in his villa,

therefore, his fear was well-founded. Hours passed and
evening was drawing in. The evening drinks were served by the

new maid. Mr. Vaken showed the photographs to the children
that he clicked at the bird sanctuary. Children loved the

photographs of the little birds with colourful feathers and long
beaks.

Renzia received a mail and got a new job offer from a
distinguished company. So, she decided to leave her old job

and wanted to join new company. To do the same, She wanted
to go back to her city. Hence, it was planned that Mr. Vaken

would drop Renzia to the airport. Due to sudden professional
call, Renzia decided to join the job i.e. a high-paying job. She
