In the twinkling of an eye, very large hailstones began to fall
along with rain shower. There were flashes of lightning,
rumblings, peals of thunder and a violent hailstorm. Hailstones
were rattling on the window-panes. Mrs. Vaken was rendered
helpless by consternation. The atmosphere of the place was so
terrifying. Mr. Vaken looked so lugubrious as he had not seen
that black-hearted side of Mr. Shemp. Moreover, the bad
weather aggravated the sufferings of Vakens’. Due to Shemp’s
action, the chandelier hit the floor with a crack and created a
loud sound. The broken pieces of glass were spread on the
tiled floor.
MR. HOVER SHEMP: Hey! Wrongdoer, Mr. Vaken. Will you
accept your crime now or I should create more havoc? I think
