Psychology, I realised what I had been missing out. I was on the verge of losing
my cultural identity altogether and, with this, all the cultural wisdom my
ancestors had bestowed over our generation.
During this process, I met a few like-minded people who had been
trained in social entrepreneurship. We together founded our organization called
Mera Gaon Meri Dunia, which is committed to building enabling platforms for
youth who intend to get back and lead transformative initiatives in their
communities.
A phenomenon of creating opportunities for self is like an oasis in the
desert in the current scenario. With an increase of artificial intelligence, care-
based mentorship and innovative solutions to enabling environment is going to
be in demand and would increase dependence on the human resource. I urge
youth to consider investing themselves in building such platforms which would
eventually build you.
My subject: MSc. Human Development &Childhood Studies
It is a branch of development psychology and is an interdisciplinary field
incorporating the learnings from sociology, anthropology, ethnography,
qualitative research, child rights and gender studies. Some famous colleges
offering post-graduation in Human Development are SNDT Women's College,
Mumbai; Mount Carmel College, Bangalore; Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur; and
Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.
