of life and evolution of our existence, whereas Astro-chemistry is the minute
study of chemical processes but of the space and everything tied to it.

Qualification to become a space scientist: Students who want to become a
Space Scientist must develop an aptitude towards Physics and Mathematics. One
should possess relevant education in pure sciences or engineering disciplines to
become a space scientist. In India, ISRO recruits candidates with PhD in
Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics along with engineers in disciplines like
Mechanical Engineers, Computer Engineer, etc. Candidates aiming for ISRO
jobs should pursue their Bachelor’s degree in the above-described disciplines or
related to space technology and physics.

Other careers include space physicist, Astronaut, among others. To
focus more on Astronaut, you will have to have an excellent level of fitness as
well as sound mental health, as you're supposed to live in space for a long
duration. There are a lot of educational institutions to help you get the proper
training through degrees and doctorates. To enter into the space industry, you
will have to gain degrees/PhDs in physics, chemistry and mathematics. As for
other detailed information, you will get it by researching and documenting the
                             information thoroughly.
As for the work for such degree holders, space people can work in
universities, while conducting research and publishing papers in it. They are also
allowed to teach classes and guide research students, among other
responsibilities. People who are astronomers and astrophysicists are qualified to
work in observatories, space research agencies and similar institutions.
The salary component for budding space scientist often depends on
their education level, nature of work and the institute. Most people get a salary
package of 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs as a fresher along with several benefits such as
housing facility, medical benefits and travel allowance. However, there is no limit
on what best space scientists can earn if they are expert in their fields.

Institutes in India offering space science as a course: In Asia, India is one
of the leading countries for Physics and Astronomy Education. Some institutes
in India offering space science as a course are given below:
                             i) Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA): The Indian Institute of
Astrophysics (IIA) is a premier National Research Institute of India situated
in Bangalore. IIA conducts research mainly in the areas of Astronomy and
Astrophysics. It is one of the finest institutes in India.
ii) Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore: IISc Bangalore is
considered as one of the best institutes in India for scientific research. IISc
Bangalore bagged the 51 spot in QS Asia University Rankings 2017. The
