many more. At 11:00 am, Jovia family stepped out to
meet tribal people of the island to explore their culture,
language, customs, festivals etc. The tribes of that island
were not uncontacted tribes that means they had no
problem to be in contact with outsiders. They were
wearing decorative woven wigs with multi-coloured
feathers, beaded jewellery & collarless & sleeveless dresses.
Their lifestyle was completely different & their regular
practices were gathering forest produce, hunting animals,
making handicraft products, shifting cultivation etc. The
family posed proudly with the tribe in their respective
tribal costume & the photo was shot by Mr. Kelin in a
refined manner. It is rightly said that the beauty of the
world lies in the diversity of its people & Mr. Anomish
was also the firm-believer of the fact that getting exposed
to various cultures & traditions is so vital towards self-
development. Being a culinary enthusiast, Mrs. Andy
took a 1-hour cooking class with the tribal women &
learned to cook the tribal cuisine using rare ingredients &
intricate procedures & truly that became a memorable
experience & a pleasant culinary assault on her senses.
The cuisine comprised non-vegetarian food that was
smoked, dried or fermented & had an exotic taste due to
the flavour of seasonings & local herbal ingredients.
Healthy everyday living, physical activities & food were
reflecting in the tribal people’s skin, hair texture &
