EPILOGUE

Parents are usually the first people a child learns to
trust. It is rightly said that-“No love is greater than

Mom’s love & no care is greater than Dad’s care”.
The death of a parent- the loss of a mother or the
loss of a father is one of the most emotional &
universal human experiences. The passing of a

parent is ineluctable. The grief can be life-
changing & can change children biologically &

psychologically. Shock, numbness, denial, anger &
despair are the feelings most people cycle through
after the loss of parents. Whether one has a good,
bad or indifferent relationship with the parent, the

parent-child bond is the most fundamental of all
human ties. To live & love wholly again, one must
mourn. One may also want to create lasting

tributes to parent-child relationship, planting a tree
or putting together a special memo box with
snapshots & other keepsakes can help. However,

that grief doubles if there is communication-gap
between parents & children. The relationship
between parents & children thrives if it is

supported by healthy communication. Having a
daily ‘Connect time’ with child can immensely
help in fostering better parent-child relation as it
develops closeness, understanding & trust. The
