Career mantra is an effort of many of the field experts and associated persons
to share their experience and knowledge for common benefit. In this age of information
technology, the desired information is available on your fingertip through the internet.
Yet, at the onset of career, a student wants to know about all the possible career options
available to him or her pertaining to his inner Passion, time availability and socio-
financial background. Career making is not just about winning bread and butter; it is
closely associated with dignity of life and work satisfaction.
When we talk about career options, different options, such as Engineering,
Management, Computer Science, Army, Police, Bank, Bureaucracy, LIC, MNCs,
business, research, sports, fashion etc. comes to our mind. All that we want is to live a
peaceful, prosperous, and dignified life which is socially contributing. Guidance at a
right time and in a right direction is what earlier generations required and missed
during their career pursuit. This effort will hopefully provide yeoman’s service to
students starting their career and interested in knowing about the alternate career
options. Many of the different career options have been discussed in this issue, yet some
have escaped due to shortage of time in compilation and space available in this career
guide. The world is full of opportunities. No one can claim to have covered all the sky
above our head.
The present edition of the book, “Career Mantra” is a collection of career-
oriented writings authored by professionals in various fields in their own style. The
writers have contributed from their own working experiences and expertise in their own
style. There was no particular template fixed to avoid monotony. The efforts and time
invested by the experts is deeply acknowledged. The USP of this book is to give readers
an interesting blend of information and real-life experiences of several career options.
