Psychiatrist
Psychiatry is a profession dealing with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
of neurological disorders. A person specialized in psychiatry is called a
psychiatrist. Psychiatric disorders are considered to be taboo in India, as a result,
there is no data available with respect to the prevalence and epidemiology in the
Indian conditions.

For being a psychiatrist, you
need to complete a Bachelor’s
degree program and then take
the medical college tests. You
have to complete your MD
which is of three years, or you can also do a diploma which spans over two years.
Completing the residency, you will be paid and also be licensed. Then you are
board-certified, and finally, you can become a Psychiatrist.
